The Dead Pool

[SOC]

The rules are simple: everybody who wants to play submits a list of 5 celebrities/famous people. You can't pick someone who is on their deathbed, nor can you have ZGeek members on your list. And the person has to be well known enough to warrant an obituary - that's what you need to provide as proof your person has died. The next time someone dies, the person who has them on their list (if anyone does) wins that round. But it’s up to THEM to let the rest of us know their person has died – and they MUST provide a link to a news story or obituary (preferably both). And you can only change your list when someone that is on somebody's list dies.

THE PRIZE: The winner gets +100 rep from Pirate & +rep from everyone playing the game.

Oh pipe down princess, you were the one complaining that the winner isn't getting given the rep he deserves. I didn't find it a problem to rep him but according to your repeated nagging a lot of others did last round.

I'm not asking to make it easier on myself just that it's in the face of the slackers, for all I care remove the players that don't rep the winner.

If you can update the past winners how hard is it to shove a link under their name? Copy the post no. when you rep him and then place the link under the standing when you edit them. It's not like I'm asking you to do too much

The thread is up to page 15 now so it will obviously become more of a hassile to find the winner later on and therefore less likley that they will get the rep they deserve.

soc, how is the rep for our recent and prior winner going? i was going to suggest - if there is a problem - making repping the previous winners a requirement for playing. that way we can get rid of players who are no longer interested and ensure the winners get their just rewards.

As I posted on the front page yesterday, Pirate has now agreed to give a big dose of rep to the winner, starting with the next death. SO it's all good.

I agree with dropping people who haven't repped our latest winner - I'll get him to do a check soon and then I will chase up each person who hasn't and tell them to pay up or get out of the pool. :D
