The next 4 are near my house in newport.

Tis quite difficult to take photos this early in the morning with a crap camera like mine, normally it cant focus properly.

This one was taken just after getting off a harbour cruise with my gf. Only thing that pissed me off was that i forgot to cover the sun from comming diagonally into the lense so i got some glare from off the lense ><!

Of course they are pretty low quality due to having to reduce them for this forum etc but still nice i think..

I don't wanna clutter up the place unless people want to see bigger versions, but much of my stuff that I upload goes unedited because I upload them the day I take them, than edit them on my computer later, too lazy to put them back up. If you need to, ask me which ones are edited and which ones arent...here's the site:

http://www.aphotoblog.tk

I'll upload some of my stuff on this page later if anyone is interested.

Here are two...I'm sure everyone on here has seen them like thousands of times, but hey, might as well. I've always found that night pictures need less, if any, editing than day pictures when it comes to me, so here they are:

The Wheel is pretty cool. Looks bit over exposured. Larger aperture and just a pinch little less exposure and it would've been perfect. rep++ still for some awesome piccies

Thanks! Yeah that was taken in my elementary days of digital photography...I just had a point and shoot digital cam that I adjusted everything via a menu...it was a pain...god I love my new camera. :D

Thanks for the feedback, I love it!

I had to crop and resize these because the full originals were too big to upload. I hastily took these when I came home one day. Notice the secondary rainbow in the second pic. I didn't even see it before opening the pics on the computer.

Hmm...how do I get these attachments to "render"?

dozer

dont attach more than one at a time and it will render.

druid
12-10-2004, 08:02 AM
Ok HERE is the secondary rainbow. Btw I don't know what the hell is going on with my balcony but every time I take pics at least one of the buildings seems horridly tilted when in fact they are all level. Some perspective thing this compact lens doesn't handle?

I just bought a digital camera the other day. A Canon AP95. Sweet. I'll post some pics when I get off my ass and take some photos!

Everyone's here are awesome. minorproblem, I am jealous of your backyard. I wish I had a view like yours.

This is a favorite of mine. Not favorite as far as quality of the shot, but favorite in what it represents to me, but that is far to deep to discuss here.

anyhow here it is and there are more here (http://gallery.zgeek.com/pow-wow)

For the wheel shot you should of used a flash so as to help decrease the contrast between the frame and the lights slighty. But besides that nice pics still.

Where was the picture taken at?

It's from our balcony in Turku. I have taken quite a few pics of the cathedral and surroundings in different conditions now and it's gotten quite boring. The rainbow however, was something new and different.

The pic I wish I had taken was when a lightning hit the roof and colored it white for a second. I was walking about 100 m away when it hit.

this was interesting....the rabbit was in the shadows....and i used my flash...even though i knew it was too far away to do any good..(it's digital, who cares if the pic doesn't turn out?)... but it appears that the fucking flash caught something reflective inside the rabbit's eye and produced this spooky image.....it takes me back to Monty Python's holy grail and the Cave or Caerbannog and Tim the Enchanter...

I was surprised at how well some of the photos I took in Hawaii (http://gallery.shakesbeare.com/honeymoon) turned out.

My favourite would have to be this one:
http://gallery.shakesbeare.com/albums/honeymoon/100_0343.thumb.jpg (http://gallery.shakesbeare.com/honeymoon/100_0343)

Not bad for a point and shoot compact camera. (Kodak DX4530)

I've always liked this one

It's been resized, but other than that, no editing.
Taken during the huge storms in brisbane in January 2004.

Took sooooo many and eventually got this one. Without an Automatic setup this is pretty hard to do! :D but Im happy with it, even though it's not the best shot.

I've been doing a little testing out in the garden. I finally got the effect I was looking for. Now to find a subject that's worth being photographed.

Great pic there merudo, I agree with tk4231, it must be tough working with a view like that ;)

Here is a pic of my two half-siblings. A moment after this was taken I was knocked over. Jon loves to puch people over who are sitting on the floor. What a champ!

I like this one, we spent ages trying to get a good picture, this was with an old crappy kodak digital on a shitty tripod.

Much bigger one similar to above.

I like this one a lot also.

My friend scared the shit out of my (off camera) just as i took this picture, i like the different between my dude on the camera and the blurriness of the background.

Sorry about the size of the last two, i will resize them and put them on a new server shortly.

haha, thanks dude!

The first two pictures are fountains on the UCLA campus. The camera is a Nikon D70, and the settings were f/4.5 for 2.5 seconds.
