Everyone's got a game or two they keep a special place in their heart for. It may be the first game you ever played, or it may be the game you were playing while getting it on...
What games do you have a real soft spot for?
Mine are thus:
Wonder Boy in Monster Land - the first game I ever played, on an arcade cabinet table thingo.
Ultima VII - this game was the start of a long addiction to games.

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine.
Everyone I know hated it, but for a while I was obsessed by it's jerky Tomb Raider stylings.

Total Annihilation is king. Other than that I tend to love a lot of things, pretty much all of them from the past year or 2.

On the PC I like GeneRally and RTCW:ET. I've short term dalliances with other games but these are the only two I keep playing.
On my Amiga 500 I liked Rainbow Islands, Bubble Bobble, Operation Wolf and Speedball. I liked Wavy Navy & Hard Hat Mack on the Apple II and Iridium on the C64.
If we're going to talk arcade, the list is a lot longer. Galaga, Hang-On, Image Fight, Bubble Bobble, Raiden, Bombjack, Twin Cobra, Metal Hawk, Excite Bike, Star Wars, Rolling Thunder, Robocop, Rastan, Pleiads, Pengo, Ironman Stewart's Super Off-Road and the simply awesome Xain'd Sleena. Yes, I played them all to death on the original arcade machines and yes I absolutely love the developers of MAME.
