I need some people to go to http://forums.zgeek.com/gallery/index.php and test out the new gallery.
- Upload some images.
- Try the "lightbox" (I'm gonna change that stupid name.. suggestions? Im having a blank on that one.. possibly cause I was up to 3 playing with this)
- Try the ecard thingy.

What exactly does the Lightbox do?
I tried it out. I figure that it creates my own collection of selected images.
maybe call it the Piggy Bank?
How does one upload images?

There's also a category called "lightbox", so anything you tick will show up in there. It's a favourites/bookmarks type thing basically.

Ok I've changed it so you directly upload images to the news gallery. Can some one confirm they can do it?

Will there be a webget type form for downing images from a webpage? That's infinitesimally handier than saving the image locally and then uploading from the disk.
My suggestion for that would be to include a caption field for the same form. The old form only lets you use the filename or blank as a caption.

If mean the installation instructions you can scroll down a bit and it's all repeated in English.
General informations:
- Plugin for puting images into database from external webspace (no upload)
- developed due to http://www.4homepages.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5773
Installation:
- Create a new directory called plugins in your admin-folder
- Extract the zip
- edit import_webimages_config.inc (set defaults)
- copy the files import_webimages.php and import_webimages_config.inc to the new plugins-directory
- log in to your Control Panel, a new link "Import Webimages" should appear in the left navigation frame
- Click it and have fun Smile
- comments, help and suggestions are welcome

Well the variable names were in English so the only bit that was unclear for me was "0 für momentanen user oder userid des gewünschten users"

ITs all good. I fucked of the mod and found some code that I could alter that is working. Now you can add an URL image. It won't upload the big image, but it will make a thumbnail which can be used in news posts. I think this is a better deal to so I don't have a server full of big unused images.
I've also made it so that all images are displayed correctly.. ie newest on the front page.
