As mentioned in another thread, I have a new job. I think this job will be hella cool, but there's one slight problem - they have asked me to cut back on the support work for 1337 as Hosting.
As a result, we will be looking for an on-call Incident Engineer. What the role entails is that if something goes wrong with a server, our monitoring systems will page you regarding the problem. You'll then fix the problem and document what you've done. Remuneration will be on a per-incident basis, cosisting of a response fee, plus an hourly rate for the time your spend on resolving and documenting the issue.
This is not a full time role. This role would suit someone who has access to an Internet connection and PC with suitable support tools for the majority of the time between 9 am and 5 pm, AEDST.
In order to fulfil this role, you will have to have solid and proven Linux and Windows admin and troubleshooting skills. You will also need to have a mobile phone.
If anoyine is interested in this role, PM me or email jspiga at 1337 dot as. ;)
