Sixteen lousy bucks an hour and they have the gall to expect you to have 1-2 years experience and use your own car? That's not a job, that's exploitation!

$16 an hour as a contractor? Take out the superannuation you have to pay yourself, an allowance for annual and sick leave, you got about $14 max left over... you can earn better money at Coles!
Interestingly enough, they'll probably fill this job. Of course, the guy who takes it will be lying about the 1 or 2 years experience. As for the travel, get ready to be fucked hard on the mileage - at such low rates most contractors will whack at least 10% more km's onto their timesheet than they really did to try and boost themselves back above the poverty line. Unless you aren't reimbursing for km's, in which case you're out of your mind.
(For reference, $16/hour is less than what we paid contractors who moved PC's onto desks and plugged them into the wall back in 1995. Before the .com boom. Before big salaries.)
