Okay I fucking hate task scheduler, and after my format the old OS that worked for me was Win98. Now I cant seem to get rid of scheduler because my Mcaffee Antivirus keeps re-loading it each time.
I have tried to set mcafee not to do this, but it wont let me. So does anyone know what the task scheduler program is called and where it is located. I have found some task scheduler programs and deleted them, but it makes no difference.
Any ideas of how i can permenantly fuck it off??

Open Task Scheduler, click the advanced option from the drop down menu and choose the option to stop using Task Scheduler.

Yes, Ive done that a million times. The problem is that my Mcaffee Firewall+Antivirus keeps restoring it and activating it at startup.
Ive looked into all the options in Mcaffee for disabling this, but there is none. I need to find the actual program and delete it so that Mcaffee cannot call it again.

Mcaffee is a piece of shit. Stay as far away from it as you possibly can.
Older versions you could not get rid of it.

Thanks thingy, that really helped me a lot. The Mcaffee firewall is really good, and so is the antivirus. This is the only problem I have come up with it. And I think is more windows fault for creating a ghey piece of shit software called task scheduler anyway.

I think Macafee keeps restarting the Task Scheduler to schedule the downloads of updates.
Which OS are you using? XP? If you are, you could try disabling the actual Task Schedule service. But if I'm right in that Macafee uses Task Scheduler for the updates, that would disable the updates too.

It's Windows fault that Mcafee calls it? Anyway, have a look here: http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/668/

No, its both Windows and Mcaffee fault. This is the only problem Ive had with mcaffee, and now that I have found the name of scheduler (mstask), i just deleted it for windows/system.
Take that windows!

Task Shedular is only useful if you leave your system on all the time. If you only turn on your system to use it, the tasks are only gonna start up when you busy doing something important.
Actually it can sometimes do that anyway. Bloody annoying when you're trying to do some important work and some bloody maintenance program slows your system to a grinding halt.
