Okay guys,
This was suggested in the blizzard thread. I have some people who are keen to go, so we are going to have a huge TA Battle. Anyone interested post your details here, and maybe we will go this sunday night?
Not many people have all the CD upggrades, so if you want we could just play the original TA, and then go for core-contigency and Battle tactics a bit later.
I will try to download the patch from fileplanet to allow for 5000 units, cause that would make the game so much better. I will also host a link so no one has to get a ghey account to download it.
To make it really great we would need at least 5 players. Please post your status as to what connection you have, what computer specs and what CD's you have.
I can send people copies of mine if you need on and live local.

YES!!!!!!!!
im glad you saw my post regarding the 5000 unit patch.
i would play except ill be out tonight and im going to CLGA tomorrow
but ive got 512/128 DSL and can host :)
oh yeah also i own the TA commanders pack (TA, battle tactics and core contingency) but a few weeks ago i stepped on my CD case and SHATTERED THE CDS :'(
i think CD2 isnt shattered from TA, but the others are fucked.
So i've gotta buy a new copy or get a copy, ( i doubt what is now cavedog [gas powered games] would send me a new TA cd if i sent them the broken one) and then i can play.
man this is gonna rock.
edit: i noticed your location is in sydney and you can send cd's if local, well you can send em to my work in a postpak if you want, or i can just get em another way, but i dunno how long that might take... depends if my mates that i know owned TA can dig it out (i left it on my desk as always right with starcraft! lol)

I cant play tonite either, got the girlfriends dinner party to go to, but Im hoping to have a battle on sunday night for a couple of hours?
Im thinking of doing the ring atoll and then the Yerrot Mountains which will only require the first CDs
Didnt really think much of the Krogoth as the ARM gattling cannon could destory anything in its range. There is even a way to double the range of the cannon, but its hard to aim the fucker then.

Okay Wednesday night seems to be a good night for a quick game. Maybe a quick TA classic map?

Wednesday sounds good for me. I have a burned copy of TA, and a legit copy of CC, and no battle tactics, with a cable connection. If someone could get me battle tactics I could dl the 5000 unit path myself and then its go time. i love yerrot mountains, 2 continents, and that one massive map on core prime with the 9 islands in the enormous ocean.

Sweet, I will get the 5000 patch tomorrow as I have been rather busy this weekend. I will host it and post a link. Okay all we need now is a head count for who is up for it and what map you would like to play.
I suggest we play with all CC and battle tactics installed as they kick ass, but the only problem I see is getting anyone who needs a copy of BT and CC in time for Wednesday night. So maybe someone with a fast connection can host it?
BT is only 187 mbs anyway.

I can play.
I'v got CC and BT, and i got some ISO'd versions of the game to replace my originals.
So I'm good to go.

Anyone used the TA'AK add-on race yet? Its the least buggiest race and they have kick ass space fighters that destroy everything.
Kind of un-fair to use, but they do look sweet!

I'm not going to be able to, I've got this weird ass thing wrong with my comp. I get the blue screen of death whenever I start up the game. Something to do with my graphics drivers. Last bloody time I buy a pre-built computer thats for fucking sure.

you're having BSOD's due to your graphics drivers, in a software based rendering game?
damn, thats some tough luck.
I can't get into the IRC channel so i guess that counts me out. :/
