ALL of the above.
They still use leeches and maggots.

They should determine a genetic way of telling if a child is gonna be a dick from birth, then leave him on a mountain to die.
Yes, I know my radical solution will deplete the population severely, due to a sudden sharp decline in birth rates and diseases borne from the mountain of baby carcasses wiping out the remainder of the population, but damnit people, times are desperate, dicks are plentiful and I say we should stop them at the source or, failing that, leave them to die on mountains as babies

Let the demons out! Possibly as effective as modern psychological practices at any rate, and a goodly sight more effective as a deterrent in the first place.Might also streamline the judicial system as well, with what would concievably be a huge reduction in pleas of temporary insanity.

Trapanning or Trephening is still done; i remember and article in the news, in the last couple of years when someone had it done.
This guy (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/devon/2982391.stm) was slightly less successful.

Trepanning is only used(by proper medics) to relieve fluid pressure now,........However some people seem to think trepanning(& practice it with such crude ways as a power drill with a 1" hole saw attachment) is a magic cure for everything & even people who have nothing wrong with them should be trepanned for good measure, even worse is that these people believe that the skin should not be allowed to grow over the hole so that the brain may have a constant airflow........that can't be good for something that's 80% water.

Add maggots to the poll. Actually they can't really bring them back because they are still used.

I think blistering is the only one of those that's not still done (unless purging means something other than what I think it means).

They still use a form of treppanning under zero anaesthesia to treat parkinsons. particularly effective apparently, if you don't mind having a hold drilled into your forehead.

Ah, I know that one, The trappanning itself is not the treatment, it's only a small hole through which wires from a modified pacemaker are passed, the pulses from the pacemaker cancel out the false nerve signals.
As for the zero anaesthesia, well that's because all brain/neuro surgery requires the full consciousness & responsiveness of the patient.

lobotomies for all dickheads like they used to do them in the early days a big spike that gets jammed above both eye sockets directly in the frontal lobes, i think they used to describe it as a method to cure insanity in 'troubled people' ;)

Yeah, but unfortunately it is no gurantee against procreation.
We need to have an IQ based sterilization program. Call it mandated Darwinism. As an added bonus, if they score too low on the test, they get their right to consume oxygen revoked.

They should reintroduce doing stupid dances to avoid poisoning from spider bites.
The "Tarentella" was a dance performed by people who were bitten by tarantulas(named after the dance), believed to ward off the spider's evil magic, the irony in it is that true tarantulas aren't really outstandingly poisonous to humans & are about as magic as a birthday clown

I recently saw maggots in action.
Fascinating, but it made my guts hurl every time.
One of my dogs had a fairly large soft tissue sarcoma removed from his elbow. The vet took a skin graft from his chest area and put it on his elbow.
I took time off to look after him, bathing the wounds and cleaning the drain tube that the vet had inserted 3 or 4 times a day.
After a week or so of being kept inside, part of the skin graft died and started to putrefy. The maggots appeared and started to eat the dead tissue. The interesting thing is that they leave the healthy tissue completely alone.
So after a few days, the wound was clean and the maggots gone. My sister (she's a flight nurse with the flying doctor in WA) told me that sterile maggots and leeches are bred specifrically for this sort of thing in people.
