Windows User accounts, I need help!

I'm setting up a friends PC so that the screen saver in windows xp drops the user to the welcome screen when the mouse is moved. For some weird reason it keeps bringing up the classic NT style login to unlock the pc (you know when you go lock PC, that login screen) instead of the welcome screen.

I've tried pretty much all I can remember in the user accounts and in the screen saver settings but nothing works. The welcome screen still displays when you start the machine or switch users.

Any ideas?

I believe that you need to go into "user accounts" in control panel and set it to go to the default win xp login/welcome screen before going into display/screensaver and setting it to display welcome screen on resume. I would elaborate if I could but for some reason my user accounts won't open :s

It's definitely from the screen saver? Or maybe standby?

hey guys. Thanks for your help. It was for a friends pc... I checked all those things and they where all set up right. I dont have access to the pc anymore, but my friend has been instructed to look at this thread.

Thankyou with furry things in my pants. Yes it is my PC that Pirate has been tinkerinbg with, and yep I've tried all the things that are listed here, still to no avail :(

any other ideas?
