[problem] I can't post threads in the news forum

Umm yeah when I cracked 1000 rep I was no longer able to post new threads in the news forum. I'm still able to use the link on the homepage but then I have to wait for a mod to approve it. I used to be able to post new threads in the news forum so yeah, whats the story?
