My shiny new Nintendo DS came from Hong Kong today (along with Mario 64).

If you have any questions about the system, just ask!

Yeah I do:

"why does the system always keep the man down?"

ps - why does the DS look like it was designed and built in the 1980's? it looks like a big version of the old nintendo Donkey Kong (2 screen) game....right down to the really basic control pad.

From what I have seen of the Sony PSP it looks modern....just a bit cooler. (no offense to the Nintendo community) - That said I hear the DS is a great device (am just talking about asthetics) congrats on the buy!

Because ...and... that's why.

can you fuck it?

Not yet, there's a 3rd party dongle being released in January.

It looks much nicer in the flash (plastic?).

Personal preference I suppose. I don't see how any line-up could beat Mario Kart alone!

Help me get my DS, I only need 3 more people to complete offers.

US people only though.

Jambo I am sooo jelous of you. What's Mario like? Did you think the release games were a bit crappy? That's the reason I didn't order one yet, I am wishing I did though :(

Is it very heavy? Is the touch screen cool to use?

Mario is better than the N64 version (because of the 20-odd mini games).

My brother has ordered a DS with Ridge Racer (Wireless multi-player gaming will ensue!). The rest of the line up is pretty shitty.

It’s not heavy.

The touch screen is very responsive. I just use my thumb rather than the included stylus or thumb-strap.

The button above the D-pad is the power button. You have to hold it to turn the machine off.

Correct on the Start/ Select assumption.

I’m loving it! (waits for the Macca lawsuit…)

Edit: It seems quite a few of you want to borrow my DS. That's fine as long as you pick it up. My address is:

No. They were going to add that functionality in but it would have pused the release date well past xmas, and that's not good for the big N!
