Jsut bought the board game Zombies!!! and the military add-on. Fuck it's cool. You build the game board as you play, you backstab other players and make them do the stupid things people in horror movies do. It's got itty-bitty plastic zombies..
I love it.
Needed to share.
Anyone else got? Want to discuss here?
Check it outHere (http://www.twilightcreationsinc.com/zombies/)

That game is absolutely fucking awesome. A mate gave it to me for Xmas, and it's awesome to play with one of Romero's movies in the background.

Let me know how this goes. Just started playing RISK with a few geeky mates and it's rather addictive. You mentioned the "Backstab other players" which is rather interesting! :D

I was in Mind Games today, but did no see it. Where can you get it and how much is it? Sounds like it would be fun, but I can't vote cos I don't know.
I was so close to buying Game of Thrones board game based on George RR Martin's books today. mmm Mind Games.

Zombies are slow, shitty shots, too easy to kill, they smell, they can't talk and generally suck as minions. If you're going to have hoardes of evil undead as minions, you go the vampires. Just make sure you put a bomb with a little bit of holy water inside them, right next to their black hearts, incase they ever try to betray you. Also, you'll have to bump a few of 'em off early, so the rest get the picture

Bizzarly, it's not in the board game section, but in the roleplaying room upstairs (assuming you're in Melbourne). It cost $50.
Bluey: Oh yeah, there'll be no escape....

Hehe, want through a Risk phase a little while ago (still not over it). I think the best parts of both Risk and Zombies is the initial simplicity and the veriations in rules and play that fans have developed.
Multi-planet risk
Multi-dimension risk
Buffy risk (my own invention)
Lord of the Rings Risk (surprisingly not as fun as I thought it'd be)
:D

I, Sutter, do bump this thread in the spirit of the Zombies!!! boardgame and the feeling that I have not played it enough during the past year.

I remember falling asleep on the couch while you guys were playing this at jefah's house. Also you borrowed my phone to send a booty call message to someone. Good times. I was too drunk to participate in playing. So was BlueBoy but that didn't stop him.

Mmmm, it's a bit hard to play first time drunk, you need to be able to read. Jefah and I have been working on veriations of the main game and have come up with quite a winner.

Until this post, I'd completely forgotten that I'd actually played the game.

There's a kind of sequel game to it as well set in an Army of Darkness kind of situation. Looks interesting but haven't played it yet. One of my mates is a huge fan of it. Every month or so I'll go over to his place and a whole bunch of us will play games until the early hours of the morning. Lotsa fun.

Kinda like a lan but minus the computers and with the Zombies board game, beer and a horror movie or Invader Zim episodes playing in the background.

Where IS the central coast? There seems to be Sydney people that like the game if that's close enough.

central coast of NSW, which is in between sydney and newcastle. i.e. Gosford :)
so yeah, sydney is close (i work in north sydney) but im not too sure if i wanna travel 1.5 hours to play a board game. there is a "<del>nerds</del> wizards of the central coast" shop here but they seem to be into war hammer. maybe i'll ask if they have zombies and co.
maybe i'll be lucky and my daughter will turn out to be a nerd too :)

I'm training my son. I played a game of Zombies against him and he cried when I backstabbed him at the end, bloody sook. :D
Nah, I changed the rules so that if 1 player got to the chopper, we all escape, much nicer :light:
