OK, so I was working in a Govvie department doing IT stuff, but the contract ended in mid December (bad time of the year but hey you get that).

Anyways, in lieu of this and the fact that IT contracting can be a bitch for the abovementioned reason, I promised myself that I would at least attempt to find myself more permanent work in 2005.

Just as a guide, the work I was doing was HTML coding for both our Intranet and for a few external sites. I was also doing user support, a bit of coding in VB6/VBA, hardware installation, and anything else that came up. Very occasional graphic design stuff was also required of me, but nothing too demanding.

I also have got a Diploma in IT under my belt (Network Engineering and Systems Administration).

My ideal job? Doing sysadminnie networkie type stuff with a small to mid sized network. My skills are mainly with WinNT/2k. I live in Canberra, but if a suitable position came up in Sydney, I would consider relocating. I'm not asking for a huge pay packet (however if you want to pay me that, it would be great :ha: ). However, I am looking for something at least liveable.

So if you have anything suitable, reply to this thread or drop me an email at dogwomble at dogwomble dot com. I can provide a resume in PDF format and referees if required.

I am looking for work as well, as I just finished a Diploma of Networking Engineering too. Picked up some casual web design work for now but am looking for some full time work located in the Melbourne area.

Refferences and resume avaliable on request "cv at taeper dot com". You can see my results at www.taeper.com/results if you so wish.

You've done well with scores like that.

I must say, there's one thing that I hate about the course that I did and that's the way they graded it. Except for a few units, you either passed or failed - no credit, distinction or high distinction. That really sux because if I've put in the work and done really well, I'm no different from someone who put in barely any effort and just manages to scrape through a pass, and vice versa.

But this is starting to wander off topic....
