the best book I've read in a long time was Prey, By Micheal Chricton
I also liked his book Sphere and Timeline

are there any other authors who have his kind of writing
I mean, Being completely obserd and impossible, but making sense scientifically

Prey was a bit iffy, but I was impressed Timeline. Apparently the movie is rubbish though.
