They're all quite good, but I couldn't help but giggle at the title of number 5 :)

We had a bit of Santacon here in NC, USA. Fucking nuts.

No offence but I reckon they all pretty mediocre.

"Santanarchy" is cool, but poor image quality. As with number 5.

Prawns in the sun ? Looks more like prawns in a bowl on a christmas dinner table to me.

The tree is a bit abstract and misses a bit out on too much backround to make it a good shot.

The boys is pretty stock standard backyard action shot. Nothing oustanding there...

I'm with phoneyhuh on this one, the boys is what I picked
but last months pictures were so much better

I went with No 2 ....simply because it most closely followed the rules....and had interesting light/colour.

Should entrants be penalised for affording substandard digital cameras?
There's no way anyone with a cheap digital camera could've taken that shot better. I voted for 2 because the subject matter was interesting & the attempt at composing a shot with moving objects.

I really like the boys - follows the rule of thirds nicely with the path and the embankment, The dad crouching over so as not to obscure the house, and the innocence shown in the kiddie walking off-balance to the camera.

I also thought the lorikeets overlooking sydney harbour were cool, just a shame about the image quality and the cropping - I'd like to have seen all or none of the left bird.

I think we have a pretty good idea who the winner will be :)

the shot was taken at whiteleys department store on the queensway in london, 10mins from my place. if you are little you can even visit santas grotto inside the tree.

uselesss trivia is that lady di used to take her kids to the movies there.
