A mate and I went 4wd'ing yesterday. Took a few shots on my POS digital camera. Didn't turn out too well photo wise but we had a great time.
Anyhoo, just thought I would share!

I'm yet to get out driving a bit with my suzuki, damn work. Damn schoolbooks!
Yeah, I haven't noticed many Myrtles down at Myrtletown in brisbane. What kind of fool would name a place after something not there anyway ;)

I like seal rocks. Did the trip a while back in the old charade :)
That was where we found out a charade bush bashes better in reverse due to the flat back..

It's near Myall Lakes. I can't think of the name of the park off the top of my head. I'll ask my mate when I see him next.
Was a sweet day!

mungo national park is in south western NSW. 111km NE of mildura. the only lakes near here are Menindee lakes in Kinchega National park. A very nice area to have a look around.

Nice pics!! good to see a scooby out and about. So when are you fitting a liftkit and bigger tyres? :)
Here's a shot of the Qld Subaru club at Double Island Point. The joins on the panarama are ordinary, but there's a good number of scoobies.

Hey Stinky, welcome to the forums ;)
Wasn't my forester. It was a mates. I don't know what he's doing but there is talk of selling Black Betty and getting a bigger 4wd, something more manly.
Mate those are some top photo's. Looks like you're havaing a ball. How long have you been into it? Did is scare you shitless first time you drove on the sand?

then I must be thinking of a different place, I apologise. Although I'm sure the place I went to was also called mungo national park - but it was positioned around the same place as stygian described. hmm, now i'm at a loss at what the national park i went to was called. must find out! :)

Pffft, the subaru is manly enough! just lift it a couple inches and put bigger tyres on it! :) As long as you don't do any really rough stuff, the forester will do everything you want it to AND give you an awesome drive on the road, rather than a loud bouncy 4wd.
I've been doing it for around 2 years, sand is easy peasy to drive on, not scary at all, bush driving with washouts throwing you at crazy angles and hills steep enough to make you feel like you'll flip backwards is the scary stuff ( and the fun stuff ;) ).

Mungo Brush is right next to Hawks Nest. Very cool place. Usually visit there once a year. But the best spot (well, for surfing anyways) is a beach on the other side of the Seal Rocks/Boat Beach point called Trechery. Surf was so big there one day we almost drowned....... was truly awesome!
