Does anyone here know where I can purchase, hopefully legally, a paintball gun or replica bb-guns in Australia?.
I love paintballing but would rather import the paintballs and have my own gun. Alternatively I am interested in BB replica real life weapons, like airsoft stuff so that my group of friends and I can get into this. I have access to a large 250 Acre property that is owned by my family and Really want to set up something like the professional places.
My Team can get all of the equipment but as far as I can see, there is nowhere in Aus that actually sells the guns.
Any help would be appreciated and met with Rep++

I played skirmish somewhere out west a few years ago - I think it was Heartbreak Ridge (www.paintball.net.au) but it may have been Adventure paintball (www.paintball.com.au)
My memory is just a little hazy, but I'm fairly sure the place I went to had a "Pro Shop" with guns for sale - you might want to give them a call. If they can't sell to you, I'm sure they can tell you where to buy from.
My memory is just a little hazy, but I think they did mention having difficulties with selling guns - they apparently fall under gun control laws, so you need a licence etc to buy one - apparently dead easy to get, as being a paintball player constitutes sufficient reason to need one, but still an annoying amount of paperwork.
I could be completely wrong about this, please feel free to prove me wrong..

try army disposal shop, maybe when its pretty empty. A fair few years ago before laws were changed i picked up a really cool BB gun. Heavy Plastic replicat of a hand gun. Fired plastic ball bearins a nice distance, not huge or anything. Wouldnt meet ya fun of running around shooting people though. More fun lining up action figures and shit and shooting them over from across the yard.
But some army disposal shops do sell cool stuff under the counter. and if they dont, they should.

Legally?
Try your local paintball business, they usually can sell new and second hand pump actions (you can't get semi-autos in vic or nsw I dont think).
You do need a category A firearms licence and need to get the usual permit to purchase. You can import them too, but need to get a firearms import permit, so is easier to talk to you local firearms dealer and get them to import it on your behalf for a deposit & fee.

So where in NSW could I contact an Arms dealer for Import? All the Paintball places around here dont want to do it, even if I have a licence.

NSW - The laws have just changed so it is now leagal to own a semi-automatic paintball marker. You will need to aply for a licence through the firearms registry. You will need a reason to own so state that you will be entering competition play and tournaments. Then you will need a permit to aquire once you have your licence to use. You will need to comply with the standard procedures for storing a firearm so research first.
As to where to buy there is an Austrmalian company in Sydney that are making some of the best markers currently available! www.macdev.net

I seem to remember you being a fellow firearms owner, so just try a few of your prefered/local firearms dealers (http://www.yellowpages.com.au/search/postCategorySearch.do?headingCode=29254&ul.latitude=0.0&ul.longitude=0.0&businessType=firearms®ion=australia&pageNumber=1&rankWithTolls=true&locationClue=nsw&stateId=1 ) even if they dont want to help, they may have further info. Alternatively try SSAA NSW (http://www.ssaa.org.au/nsw/ssaansw.htm). Good luck, and keep me informed on how you go.

I researched this a while back and seems the laws are pretty tight due to the fucktards that ruin it for the rest of us.
There are some problems with importing from OS..... even if you take the gun to a paintball shop and ask them for advice on setup or what their thoughts are on the model... if the paintball shop owner doesn't take it from you there and then, they can be held legally responible if you go out and run amuck with it.
If the laws have laxed now, it may be not so hardcore but still best to ring around or even go into some places and pick their brains on all the legal implications.
Here some links tho that should help ya out-
Australian Paintball Skirmish (http://newfrontier.iinet.net.au/Default.htm) (they have a webring with links to fields/shops all over Aus)
Ultimate Skirmish (http://www.ultimateskirmish.com.au/)

Paintball rocks.
But importing is a problem. I need to look into Import license for Paintball/BB guns. I have a group of about 10 friends that are also looking into this so I am hopefully going to establish a team for tournaments. But that is later down the track, for now I just want the damn guns/Marker.

Then my suggestion is buy one locally. If you cant afford the $$$ for a Mac Developments marker (which would be very worth it) Perhaps aproach some fields about buying a second hand marker off them. With the change of laws in NSW it is possible once again for fields to purchase new markers. Before they could only maintain them buy ordering parts (but the trick was to order parts, then build a marker from the parts! :p) So they may be interested in selling a few old ones.

You need a license for paint ball and air soft guns? Most places around here will sell you anything. I could down the street and for $150 get a fully auto air soft gun that shoots and 400fps. I can get a $600 paint ball gun at that same store. Most places don't sell to minors without parents permission.

The Mac Developments Sonic Cyborg Marker looks hella cool. I want to get one of these. the $1200-1700 price tag is a bit heafty but it looks damn good and from the vid it looks accurate at even a fairly good distance, granted it probably was brand new with a new gas bottle. Im gonna try and find one second hand, even the stock Cyborg will do.

Yeah, In the US. It's a little different here though. If I got one imported no doubt I would probably get it confiscated at the airport and have the police turn up at my house.
Im so wanting a replica M4A1 or MP5A BB gun.

these guys arent too bad (http://www.collectorsarmoury.com.au/Collectors%20Armoury/default.html)
greetings fellow armed geeks
collectors armoury arent to bad.. i have bought shiny sharp things from there before and recieved quickly
you may need to already be a member of a paintball association to justify buying a marker for them to allow a permit...
so simply go play a couple of games and join at a local skirmish place.... then the nice men in the big building will send you your permit in 6-12 months when they bother rubberstamping it

why can't you buy a big teddy bear and hug it all day long. Then you may lose this urge to shoot paint at people and make them cry
