For some reason, yesterday all of a sudden Nortons Internet Security 2003 has started blocking the pictures and half the smilies in the posts on ZGeek for me. If I disable NIS, most pics load except for a small few. This does not effect avatars and any other general graphics on ZGeek, just the images in posts and smilies. Actually yesterday it also behaved as if I was not logged in.

I don't know if its my pooter or the web site.

Im on dial-up with iPrimus, using Win XP SP2, IE, got the firewall on (this shit never stays off), NIS 2003. If you need anymore info just ask.

This setup has been working fine for like as far as I can remember. I could be an update from Symantic that screwed it, but how would I find out?

Is anyone else having this problem?

Everything is ok here but I'm on a different setup to you. Broadband (cable), Win 2k3, Opera 8.

It seems fixed now.

I restarted XP (I usually just hibernate it, it loads quicker).

Thanks anyways :)

Ironic. You'd think having impossible access to zgeek at work would get you to be more productive. No one counted on your determination :)

Actually, the problem is back now.

This only happens to this site, I'm not having any problems with every other site I visit.

If there is any relevent information that I can gather to help anyone in the know diagnose this problem then tell me.

I've never had a problem with zgeek displaying on his setup ever before. I havent made any changes, really. The only thing that I can think of is maybe Nortons Internet Security 2003 had an update or something, because it seems to load better with it turned off. NIS has never had a problem with zgeek before.

This is driving me mad.

Was there any updates to zgeek recently?

Check that theres no filtering on your connection. The site meta tags state that there is mature content on the site so it might be picked up as a site to restrict. Thats the only think I can think of.

There is no filtering on my connection except for the add blocker that nortons has built in. Parental controls have never been turned on.

The site seems to be working 100% for me now, Im not sure what was causing it. I wonder if it could have been a problem with my ISP (iPrimus). Like they'd ever tell me.

I thought it might have been some kind of anti-image hijacking think you might have installed, that can screw with nortons sometimes.

It also might have been a server/bandwidth problem, zgeek can take a while to load with dial-up, lots of images, so there could ahve been some kind of time-out problem, but I kind of doubt it.

I think I might be also talking out my arse, stranger things have happened...
