OK so I have seen the Movie trailer...looks very interesting.
We are being flooded with promos for the console game.

Has anyone actually read the comic? And if so, can someone tell me the basic story behind it please?

uhh.. it's called Hellblazer. And no, I haven't read it. I think he also popped up occasionally in the Sandman comics.

Lets just say the comics rocked and the movie is going to be a piece of shit compared to them.

I've got 150-odd of them.

Without a doubt my favourite title.

I must say I'm slightly worried that the movie won't meet my expectations, as they are fairly high.

Also I wonder whether they can realistically present the type of material contained in the comic, as I'd imagine much of it could be considered for an RC sticker (in Australia).

I haven't read it, but I remember the comic winning numerous Eisner awards.

The movie has Bill S Preston Esquire in it.

I'm gonna go see it, but I won't be expecting a masterpiece.
