Is it worth it, i am paying $20 a year for private registration so people can not do a whois and find out my home address etc.
What is your opinion?
I would say YES, privacy is certainly worth $20 a year. There are a lot of insane people on the Internet - Sunol, for example. Do you really want people like him knowing where you live?

here's the free way
give Sun*l's addy for the domain registration:)
Easy to obtain the info from solicitor; Business name and shit, and threaten to report them to verisign. Did that once for dengbad, fuckers never call me anymore :( Love to give shit to outsourced spammers, kinda miss them now

i applaud your creativity and i believe that any number of zgeekers have that information but, since mr. bigotry is currently under a lot of official scrutiny at the moment, i would suggest seeking another option.
since i use my site for business and i need to have something there for folks to reach me my solution was to rent a post office box and use that for my contact info.

Why would you put your real details in the registration form? Who's going to check them?
the internet police. they're everywhere. they're watching us now.

the IRS. all of my expenses come out of my taxes.

Surely the receipts would satisfy the IRS or Inland Revenue.

as a freelancer, they are notoriously particular in what one claims. and, given the limited amount of funds i bring in, i can't take a chance.
but, if i am not mistaken, we are now hijacking the thread.
