Now, I feel that it is time to reveal one of my best-kept secrets.

Hello, my name is Arsozah and I love Harry Potter. :o

Laugh and throw things if you want, but I fell there may be other closet Harry fans out there who are as far behind the times as I am. I have just discovered that the next installment in the life and times of Mr Potter will be released from 16 July. Yay!

I realise that this information has been around for over a month, but see ^^, I'm behind the times.

Yeah man I can't fucking wait. I am also a closet Potter fan. Don't get me wrong I'm not like those little 8 yr old turds who dresses up and makes their parents wait outside the bookstores til midnight of July 15th, but I'm still happy to turn up on July 16th and push said 8 yr olds out of my way so I can buy my copy. And if there aren't any left then one of those 8 yr olds ain't gonna have his for much longer.

Oh yeah Arsozah I recomend you check out www.jkrowling.com, it has loads of cool hints as to whats going to happen and everything. Very cool stuff.

Yes I am also a closet Potter fan. My wife is as well. We've done everything we can to kick the habit...electro-shock therapy, listening to elevator music, even watching lesbian porn (ok that last one was just me...) but we can't kick it. We too will be lining up in July for our copy of the new book.

Although hopefully young Harry won't be as angry and unlikeable in this one. Halfway through the last book I turned to my wife and said "looks like Harry's balls have dropped...he's got way too much testosterone going through his system".

If anyone laughs at you for this, then they have to contend not only with those who have already shown their support in this thread, but also myself, Buffy, and Pirate! We're all fans too! :D Nothing to be ashamed of, mate. :)

Yeah he did have a few issues. I think she did it on purpose just to show that hes not an 11 yr old anymore.

Heh... that's where I was! But the last time I visited there was when the door opened to show the chapter names... soooo long ago.

I really enjoyed reading the first four books, but dismayed they kept getting bigger tho

I really loved the first film, however I lost my way when they made the 5th book (havent even read it) and 2nd movie (tho the 3rd movie recovered somewhat)

never really got back into them after that.... :(

there used to be a book when i was 6 (in the dark ages) about this young girl who goes to a witch academy and never knew she was one...often wonder if it was the basis for potter and what it was called... but i could never put it down....it's a timeless fantasy.

Wow, feel the Harry Potter love... (I imagine her reader base may expand exponentially if she did include some Harry Potter love, but that's another story.)

Okay, no embarrasment then...

Harry Potter is cool. :D

Haven't read any of the books, but watched the 3 movies a few weeks ago. Pretty cool, might check out the books at some stage.

I've really enjoyed all the Harry Potter books and movies so much so we have abit of a tradition of going to the movies on the day they open (the kids think this is pretty good) :D

JKrowling was probably one of the biggest motivators for my son to start reading chapter books, I think she is the bOmb ;)

I'm a fan too! The second half of the 5th book was a bit strange though, it kind of felt out of step with what had come before it. But I like that the books have got a bit more mature as the series has progressed. I eagerly await the 6th installment though I will probably not get around to reading it til 6 months after it's out.

I both purchased and finished OotP on release day.

The end irritated me though because the character I did not want to die in fact did. I wanted the fat giant to cark it.

Not a Hagrid fan I see? I finished it on the release date aswell, except I had to read it again a little more slowly seeing as I didn't absorb as much as I should of the first time through.

Fuck being closet.... I love the series.....

It does not try to hold illusion of some bullshit epic and is just a really easy and enjoyable read.....

Cant wait for the next book.

P.S. Alan Rickman does an awesome job of Snape in the movies.....

I reckon Snape and Harry will actually stop being enemies. Like they realise that they have a lot in common. In OotP Snape was being nicer to Harry when he saw the shit that Harry had to go through with the Dursley's (like when he asked about the dog) and other little clues like that.
