I don't get it, if you like to smoke thats cool, but how is tossing your nasty ass cig butt into the street not littering? You see more of that then regular garbage. If you never noticed look down, its everywhere.. Honestly you should be fined for throwing such caution to the wind. When im done drinking a soda I don't throw the can or cup on the floor and walk away.

I smoke... It's not difficult to find a bin... and if you have trouble finding bins, you can buy little personal ashtrays that hold your butts until you have somewhere to dispose of them.

Being an reformed smoker, well, trying to quit atm, I know it is damn frustrating when you cant find a bin.

But in the city there are bins everywhere, use them.

Now, I am gonna add a bitch ontop, put a cigarette out before putting it in the ashtray. When I use to work in the city, every day the same ashtrays would smoke up and it stank worst than the normal smoke (I dont think the filters are any better smoking than the cig themselves).

I've seen fire trucks rock up for smoking bins. Myers staff are idiots. It was only a little bit of smoke. No fire even, just shit very slowly burning. All they had to do was empty a bucket of water in the bin instead of wasting the fire brigade's time.

I always try and find a bin, if I can't I keep the smoked butts in the top of my cigarette packet with the foil in between those and the new cigarettes.
You can also buy small personal ashtrays thats seal and can be carried around in your bag/pocket. :)

you can get free disposable ash trays from the watershed in newtown. there are heaps of shops that have them too (you shouldnt be charged for it)

they are basically just an empty 35mm film container

In some parts of Birmingham City Centre now they have these fucking cigarette things in the top of the bins to put your cigarette. You're not allowed to use a normal bin you gotta use these special things. I don't know how many people since the conception of these wonderful devices have managed to time a cigarette so that they pass the bin as they finish but I'd guess its probably somewhere in the region of not a single fucking one.

p.s. I smoke very rarely now and never in the street, so this doesn't really affect me but just strikes me as stupid.

Man this totally pisses me off too. Especially when you see heaps of them within metres of a friggin garbage bin etc. I smoke but I ALWAYS put my butts in the bin or in a special little mobile ashtray thingy I have. I work in the city and all I think when they are on the ground is well there is another one in the harbour :(. Another thing which completely craps me out is chewing gum which all the so called non-smokers drop everywhere. Did you know that they spend millions each year scraping that shit off the pavements/footpaths. They are just as big fuckwit looser cunts as smokers. Chewing gum kills fish and other marine animals worse than butts. At least butts stink like crap and most sea dudes leave em alone. Where as they actually eat the chewy and that shit sticks too their gills and kills them. Also those fucken cars piss me off as well. Shit one day they will ban them from the road so I don't get passive sucking on an exhaust pipe flowing down my lungs everytime I drive into the city or am stuck in traffic.

Fucken idiot. I so hope you don't drive a car or chew gum. If so you are damaging the environment worse than any smoker could ever do.

i smoke (unfortunately), and i would say, only maybe once in a month (if that) litter my butt. I am very aware of littering, and never litter normally. Even when i am on the piss, or at concerts, i am one to put the butt in my pocket, or even in the plastic wrapping around the ciggies. Never on the ground. And especially NEVER out a car window!

I think people deserve a kick in the head iff they do that!!

What i hate the most is people who throw shit out of a car window. I feel like crashing into them, then ripping their fucking skull from their body, picking up the trash they threw away and shoving it down their necks, and then ramming their detached head up their arse!
