Do you occasionally get tonsilloliths?

Tonsilloliths (http://www.tonsilstones.com/tonsilloliths.html). Learnt a new word today. Not even google image search can provide a picture of one of these things.

Had something bothering my throat, stuck my finger down my throat and coughed up one of these babies. The smell is horrible and it scares me that these things exist in my body.

I've only had them when I've been quite sick. But yes they are foul.

Postnasal drip, on the other hand, is something I suffer from on a daily basis and it's fucking horrible.

I've hacked up about half a dozen of them over the course of my life so far. Thanks for the explanation on what they actually are. Since they look and feel like chicken gristle, I had just assumed they were undigested food :barf:

These tonsilloliths sound... foul... I don't think I've ever had one (from what i understand of it from whats been said)... but i get the nasal drip thing down the back of my throat *blergh*

I read through the symptoms and it looks like I'm prone to them... blergh.

I have a condition called a geographic tongue, so my tongue changes colours all the time... (white, pink, patchy pink and red, red and white... etc)
I have to admit when my tongue goes white the taste in my mouth is disgusting.

I get really paranoid about my breath too... so I tend to brush my teeth before leaving the house a lot of the time....
This was made worse by one of my ex's who used to check my breath *all* the time... I never had foul breath... just a bit bad
admittedly, he was the one who told me about brushing your tongue... so i guess some good came of it... even if he did make me more paranoid about it.

Originally i thought i these things were from eating crunchy peanut butter. I assumed that it was the crunchy parts being lodged at the back of my throat and rotting away.
