I guess this is the best place for it - it's only half a rant so I won't go to B&R. This is just a run-down of my day today, and most of all a big thankyou to the wonderful man who helped me through it.

I have the best family ever!!
First up - worst day of Uni ever!
1. I forgot my timetable. Aaron was so lovely, I called him up gave him my ID and password and he looked it up for me just after my exam.
2. I got abused by my lecturer for not purchasing a $100 book yet, and also for not being able to borrow it as it's unavailable.
3. I find out TODAY that I need to buy a surgical mask for my skills lesson at 9am TOMORROW or else I can do the lesson (and it's compulsory). So I go down to the Cashier to buy it. "OPEN 9AM TO 1:30PM STRICTLY" - It's 1pm, Phew I have time. Walk in. "CLOSED" ..."WHAT?!!!" ..."COMPUTER DOWN. CLOSED" FUUUUUCK! They don't open til 9am the next day. Seek out my lecturer for skills. Explain story. get abused AGAIN by her.
And a few other minor problems, not worth ellaborating but still vexing.

So there I am, it's about 1:30, I have another class at 3pm, a Tutorial (I started at 8am mind you...) and I'm in tears. I've had enough, I'm totally fucked, I have NO money for the $550 worth of books I need ALL by now. I'm in total despair. So I call up Aaron, sobbing to him the wonderful sweetheart consoles me and explains that he is going to help me buy some of my textbooks. THANKYOU SO MUCH! Then he tells me that my second mum (Aaron's) - (I love you Mum!!) is also going to help me with a book. OH GOD THANKYOU!
So then I call up Mum to explain the needing a mask situation, and she explains to me that she is going to RE-FINANCE her LOAN so she can help me out with my textbooks, and THEN she runs down to the Chemist on her 15min break and buys me several masks.

YOU GUYS ARE FUCKING FANTASTIC. I have the most wonderful family anyone could ask for. They all love me so much, and I am so grateful for the help they have offered me. It means so much to me.

I love each and every one of them so much. I would also like to send a special thanks to Nex (who's the only who will see it here) for all the love and support he has given me and for helping me out beyond all else. I never asked, he just offered. Thankyou so much baby. You mean everything to me.

Girl.

The worst thing about being a Uni student is the massive amount of money needed to buy textbooks at the beginning of each semester -- if you do buy them, you can't afford to eat for a month, and if you don't, you're forced to try to wrestle the sole Library copy from God knows how many other desperate students, while you try unsuccessfully to not fall behind in class. It's a lose-lose situation :( You're lucky that you have so much support, financial or otherwise.

Shouldn't the faculty of health sciences be providing all the personal protective equipment for you?

No, because no-one forced me into Nursing.
I had to buy $200 worth of Uniforms, and A Lab Coat for use tomorrow as well.

Crying trick? I feel awful for my mum having to buy this stuff, she struggles enough as it is.
And I will eventually pay them all back for these books, and what not. They aren't the sort of people who expect something in return however.
Well I have helped them out immensely too. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate what they're doing for me but I'm not so selfish that I've just waited around 'til I needed their help. Nex and I are a couple. We help each other when we need it. I've helped him a lot, financially and other-wise and now it's my turn, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop helping them.
I am thankful for their help though, because after buying $200 worth of Uniforms, Parking Fees, Lab Coat, Tuition fees... I'm just worn out financially. Dad helped me with most of the uniform cost. The book that mum (Nex's mum) and Nex buy me should help, and my mum's going to try and help me buy the other $350 worth.
I have skills today, learning CPR, my mum did manage to get me a couple of masks from the chemist yesterday (which were cheaper than the Uni anyway) and let's just hope my lecturer doesn't abuse me again today.

No more Sake for you. :p Ah, if I didn't love ya I'd throw you out on your arse. :p Don't worry - I don't plan on getting rid of him. That's why I agreed to marry him. ^_^

Mum gave me $200 today to buy some books. I managed to get 2, and a book of readings with that. One of my books, the Fundamentals of Nursing was $250. ..That one will have to wait.
I feel better I have at least a few books now. Thanks Mum!!

...Oh and I now know how to wash my hands hospital style, evacuation procedures on how to remove people from a hospital bed, and CPR.
