yeah see i cant understand it.... Also Ben said he's lived on the island his whole life.. when did DHAMA start? the actor was born in 55... so assume character would be the same... was he the others part of that.. so much is unclear. I just dont understand why they are such pricks... it seems they dont want anything to do with the survivors, because there's too many of them to deal with and if they send them back it'll reveal them?? and thats bad for what reason?? the whole why they took jack kate and sawyer... i was thinking they are involved in some sort of breaking them? get them to join their side. None of them have anything to go back to in the real world... but they told jack they'd send him back.. maybe its to convince them not to reveal them??


One thing they said the Dhama thing was long over with or something? Yet the food drops? the guy in the hatch that found desmond joined Dhama and was sent there in the 90s?


Oh and can i say, that pisses me off they took the yacht. Thats typical of in every show.. they get something cool, then something comes along to remove it from them.. its like in stargate everytime the captuired a ship, it'd involve it getting destroyed.... it would have been cool if they had it for longer, got to explore the island, investigate the foot..

Seriously. This will be the last season for Lost. The gap that comes after episode 6, nobody is going to want to watch it again after getting into it and then waiting 13 weeks or whatever stupid break there is.

What I learnt from the last episode.

They have a tv and the survivors are really fucking good at losing boats.

I had the same problem - turns out I was using an old version of uTorrent. There's a link on the front page that goes to a listing of accepted clients and version numbers. Make sure you're using the latest BitComet, or whatever version they have listed there.

the two islands does make some sense. My guess is that islands just for the hydra station, their village is on the big island. However

the others have a submarine??? which is a big odd.. why wouldnt they just use boats.. but it explains some things. Now why they would have transferred the shot girl to the sub to bring her back instead of sale the boat.. unless it was quicker, or something..

when kate had lunch with Ben on the beach, u could see mountains in the background as if the island was bigger.. prob just a continuity error..


I just hope we get some good info on the situation before the end of this first part of the season.. Like why they have kate and sawyer. Seeing we know why they have Jack now.

Well...............

There's only two more episodes before the show goes in its three month break. Apparently the title of the final pre-break ep is "I Do", which would seem to imply that Jack is going to take Ben up on his offer to leave the island. I suspect at that point we will start being fed a parallel story line involving Jack, Michael and Walt on the outside world, and the daughter of the Dharma big-wig (Desmond's ex beau) who - based on how Season 2 ended - might be heading up some sort of splinter effort to find the island, which is or was hidden by a cloaking device.

I figure it's a pretty safe bet that the "others" are the remnants of the original Dharma scientists who have "gone rogue".

Second to last episode before the three month break. Some major developments....

Echo dies, killed by Cerberus, the black cloud "security system" that also seems to be able to impersonate people from individual's memories by probing their minds (this would explain Jack's "visions" of his dead father from season 1, and Hurley's visions of people from his past). The attack is quite detailed, special effects wise.

Two of the heretofore unseen and unnamed members of the plane crash survivors are starting to be given small but regular parts.

Another station is found by way of a video link in The Pearl station, revealing a strange man with an eyepatch.

Ben is dying of a spinal tumor.

There appears to be a rift amongst the "others", with Juliet secretly telling Jack that he needs to kill Ben during the spinal operation Ben wants him to perform by having the operation go badly.

Did Jack ever find his dad's body? From memory he found the coffin but it was empty and Ekko's brother's body was missing from the plane too. The bodies of both Jack's father and Ekko's brother went missing and the black smoke took the form of both.

Strange but I think they're connected. :)

the actor who played eko wanted to leave. Apparently he took the character when it was just a priest.. then they got him they made him a badass which he didnt like being typecast as.. but then liked the backstory.. but didnt feel there was much more of a story to tell with it..

Well, for a while I thought Lost might be back on track, but they ruined it at the end when predictably the new station with interesting shit in it was blown up.

If the next episode is another filler with pointless flashbacks like a few have been this season I'm going to finally give up.

I always thought that was the whole point of lost. They're on a desert island, not much to do, a constant slow present day storyline runs and then they introduce you to characters and little storys of theirs through flash backs. Saeed's original story was great, where they got him interrogating his own, and Jin's where he beat the shit out of that dude, Eko's, hurley's was good with the numbers, Locke's with the chair.

I don't mind the flashback storys so long as they're interesting.

Thing is they're needing more filler to stretch it out, so I presume this is the way it will go, introduce more characters and more flash backs.

flashbacks were good when they added other info about the characters, now they dont add anything to the characters, just details of their lives which are neither her nor there to the show.

I get annoyed at things on the show that just are stupid..
the note claire wrote... you would think you may want to mention, Oh hey btw this island we're on there's something called the DHARMA Initiative by the hanso foundation on it..

And Rousseau bugs me... the whole, never found anything on the island except a radio transmitter.. which Sayid you think might have wanted to check out... still dont get her how she never found anything on the island..

Curious also the brain scrambling barrier, why was it there? why was it still active? Patch guys story of others on the island clashing with Dharma?

Whatever you do, DO NOT miss episode 20 of Lost. The whole episode is one huge reveal.

We learn the fate of the Dharma Initiative, and Ben's role therein. All flashbacks center on Ben Linus and how he got to the island he claims he was born on.

Oh yeah, one more thing, a MAJOR central character is killed off.

Buckle up kiddies. This one's a wild ride "almost" comparable to the 5 years in the future episode of Heroes.

You're probably right UAN, but there have been strong rumours since the season started that a central cast member was going to die this season. Of course, those rumours have always focussed on Charlie (and in the preview to the finale you see Desmond saying to him "sorry brotha, this time you have to die"), but who knows.

Personally I agree with you though, but we'll have to wait and see.

Here's a task for you downloaders out there. During the sequence inside Jacob's cabin, where Locke shines his flashlight and things start going amok, there is a quick glimpse of a face that is likely Jacob's. It goes by in a flash so quick that you would likely need to do a freeze-frame and frame-by-frame advance to find it. I, and other co-workers who've seen the show all report the same thing, but somebody needs to confirm this.

Also, if possible, try and examine the painting of the dog in the cabin. Is it a golden lab like Vincent?

another thing to do with this is, they have never killed off a central character in an episode that isnt involving flashbacks of that character. Next episode is Charlie centric, the finale is jack centric.

The whole season has lead up to him being important to the island, special and a threat to Ben. Hence why ben shoots him. I predict he'll come back as possibly the leader of the others. There's no closure on that story and otherwise it'll be the major plot point of this season, Locke finding his purpose, going on his journey and to have it go no where?. Maybe wishful thinking because i think he's the most interesting character on the show. Removing him will remove a huge element of the show. Removing charlie would not. The same way removing shannon and boon did nothing.

Finale spoilers below. Hot stuff.

The finale is full of action, a few deaths -- and a huge twist

First, the deaths. A bunch of Others get killed when they try to raid the camp. This includes Friendly, who Sawyer shoots in cold blood -- and also the other new tough guy Other (I think his name is Price) who gets run over by Hurley in the van.

And Charlie FINALLY dies. Thank god. I've always thought he was one of the weaker characters and his death has been threated in so many episodes its about time it finally happened. He unblocks the jamming signal in the underwater station but drowns when Mikhail uses a grenade to blow it up, killing them both. It's a cool death for Charlie. Maybe cooler than he deserves.

Another big moment is when an old favorite of the show returns. Locke is just about to kill himself in the Dharma grave pit that he fell into after Ben shot him when he hears a voice telling him not to. He looks up to see...WALT!! Walt helps him out of the pit and then disappears. No sign of Michael, and there's no explanation about where Walt has been or what happened to him or Michael.

Locke then makes it to the Radio Tower -- and gets there in time to kill Naomi just before she makes the rescue call. He throws a knife straight into her back. Jack can't understand what Locke is doing and tells him that he'll have to shoot him to stop him from making the call himself. Locke threatens to kill Jack, but then backs down.

Jack makes the rescue call -- and someone on the other end answers. The story on the island ends with help on the way. Or maybe not. Ben has told Jack that Naomi and her people aren't who they say they are -- and just before he dies, Charlie sees a transmission in the underwater hatch from Desmond's Penny -- who, contrary to what Naomi has said, denies that she knows Naomi at all!!

But the HUGE TWIST of the episode -- in fact, probably the huge twist of the entire series -- happens in the flashback. They start by showing that Jack is messed up. He's popping pills and suicidal. The first flashback shows him about to kill himself by jumping off a bridge -- only a car accident nearby causes him to stop, and instead of killing himself he finds himself helping the accident victims.

I'd be VERY wary of that torrent file. The season finale episode was two hours long - twice the length of a regular ep, and that torrent file's size appears to be only an hour's worth.

Anybody else thing Charlie didn't really need to die?

Even if you take the argument that he wanted to seal off the rest of the Looking-glass from being flooded and save Desmond, he could just have easily exited the chamber and sealed the door behind him, couldn't he? Plus, the room was filled with scuba gear AND, even if that wasn't working, it takes a heckuva lot less time to rise to the surface just holding your breath than it does to swim down. It appeared to be sort of a suicide/death cult thing. Also, by living he could impart more accurate info to Desmond and the survivors about his tele-convo with Penny.

I think that's probably the best episode of Lost I've seen yet. Fucking love the way it ended, I honestly didn't pick it until Jack made it obvious with his whinging to Kate. Should be a pretty interesting next series...

And yeah, there were heaps of ways that Charlie could've gotten out of it, but he's just going to spend the rest of his life avoiding certain death, I think it's a pretty good way to go out. Turn off the jammer, and get his girlfriend and everyone else off the island too.

Mid February is the rumoured date, but could depend on the writers strike, it will only be 16 eps long each for 3 more seasons, but will come to an end.

The late start is due to the length and to take out the normal hiatus american series like to take from december to february.

I was thinking about this with all the tom cruise stuff, what if the shows all Scientology based? the mark juliet got was an upside down scientology cross. Scientology involves aliens blowing up people on the Hawaiian islands, this is a tropical pacific island. There's the 4 foot statue.. alien? The whole jacobs list thing, good and bad is based on theaten levels and Smokey attempts to audit them.
