U.S. Using Anti-Terror War to Gain World Oil Reserves — Soviet Intelligence Chief

On the pretext of fighting international terrorism the United States is trying to establish control over the world’s richest oil reserves, Leonid Shebarshin, ex-chief of the Soviet Foreign Intelligence Service, who heads the Russian National Economic Security Service consulting company, said in an interview for the Vremya Novostei newspaper.

Using the anti-terrorist cause as a cover the United States has occupied Afghanistan, Iraq and will soon move to impose their “democratic order” on the Greater Middle East, Shebarshin said. “The U.S. has usurped the right to attack any part of the globe on the pretext of fighting the terrorist threat,” Shebarshin said.

Referring to his meeting with an unnamed al-Qaeda expert at the Rand Corporation, a nonprofit research organization in the U.S., Shebarshin said: “We have agreed that [al-Qaeda] is not a group but a notion.”

“The fight against that all-mighty ubiquitous myth deliberately linked to Islam is of great advantage for the Americans as it targets the oil-rich Muslim regions,” Shebarshin emphasized.

With military bases in Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, Shebarshin said, the United States has already established control over the Caspian region — one of the world’s largest oil reservoirs.

That is because the rows of police do not use their full power because people like you would complain.

China would never be able to get to the US. How would you expect them to get here? They have several long range bombers that could get here, but they would be shot down the second they left Chinese Air space. They have almost no naval forces so it would extremely hard moving large amounts of troops. Their air forces would never make it to the US. We would be able to bomb them and they would never be able to see our planes.

The reason Germans lost was because they got caught out in the winter while sieging Russian cities. The terrain of Russian countryside is very punishing. Technologically, the Russian tanks were superior than German tanks, and faster to be built. The advantage of the Germans is their blitzkrieg strategy, and their air force.

Technologically now, US is still very much ahead of China, possibly by a decade or so, but an outright invasion ala Iraq would not be possible as US does not have any close allies nearby China. South Korea would balk at allowing US forces to launch their attack from the base there, and they also have North Korea to contend with. In contrast, Iraq is encircled with US bases and allies (Turkey, Kuwait, Saudi, Qatar etc). At the same lenght, neither would China be able to launch an invasion at US without either of them having a decimated defense forces.... and the easiest way to decimate a remote defence force is via Nuclear. Bleak outcome for the world huh?

Fine, you watch FOX. But limiting ones news intake to only one outlet, and claiming it as fact is stupid.

FOX can't be wrong can they? You don't even know if ABC or CBS news might produce conflicting, more accurate news, simply because you don't watch them. So, how can you say that you don't need any news outlet?

Also, how do you know they haven't trimmed some of the story so it will fit into the FOX News time slot.

Stupid? research has shown that only the first and last letters need to be in place in order for people to read a word. Tuhs you can raed tihs as a cpometle stencnace. On the pretext of fighting international terrorism the United States is trying to establish control over the world’s richest oil reserves, Leonid Shebarshin, ex-chief of the Soviet Foreign Intelligence Service, who heads the Russian National Economic Security Service consulting company, said in an interview for the Vremya Novostei newspaper.

Using the anti-terrorist cause as a cover the United States has occupied Afghanistan, Iraq and will soon move to impose their “democratic order” on the Greater Middle East, Shebarshin said. “The U.S. has usurped the right to attack any part of the globe on the pretext of fighting the terrorist threat,” Shebarshin said.

Referring to his meeting with an unnamed al-Qaeda expert at the Rand Corporation, a nonprofit research organization in the U.S., Shebarshin said: “We have agreed that [al-Qaeda] is not a group but a notion.”

“The fight against that all-mighty ubiquitous myth deliberately linked to Islam is of great advantage for the Americans as it targets the oil-rich Muslim regions,” Shebarshin emphasized.

With military bases in Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, Shebarshin said, the United States has already established control over the Caspian region — one of the world’s largest oil reservoirs.
