April Photo Competition

Hi all,

The April theme has been decided.

Theme: Organic. What is organic (http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=define%3Aorganic&btnG=Google+Search&meta=) ?

Rules:
1. New pictures only. Only pictures taken during the month of the contest may be submitted.
2. Your submission must have exactly 1024 pixels for its longest dimension.
3. Only one (1) submission per participant. You may submit a new entry to replace your older one. Just let me know via email or PM.
4. Stay with the theme and submit tasteful work. :)
5. When submitting your image, please use a subject of "Zgeek April Photo Contest" in the email. In the body of the email, please include at least:
(a) your title for the pic
(b) your zgeek user name
6. Basic editing such as cropping, levels, white balance, colour correction, brightness are permitted.

Submission Date: April 30th at latest.

Prizes: Pirate has kindly offered the following rep prizes:
1st - 300 points
2nd - 200 points
3rd - 100 points

Please submit your entries to urbanjak at gmail dot com. I will reply by email too confirm your submission. If you don't hear from me, please send me a PM to make sure I got your entry.

damn i had the best photo op today but no camera..... a huge branch fell onto my car and was covering most of it, (except for the boot and the rear sides)

no damage but it looked cool

Can't you drive home, get the camera, drive back, and re-enact the falling branch scenario, taking pics as you go?

I like to give it a couple of days for any late comers (so long as the photo was shot during April of course).

There were no where near as many entries this month.

there were few reminders to get pics in, very little discussion about last months excellent entries due to the big voting window and general laziness again in the zgeek populus.

maybe time for some changes before it dies alltogether.

I posted twice on the front page to let people know (including one week prior to the closing date). Not sure how a 2 week voting window stopped people from talking about it but I have already agreed to the suggestion to shorten the length (will be one week this time). Laziness yes - will try to get people of their ass this time!

I am putting it down to the theme - not very workable.
