my gambling trip

ok, so i went to atlantic city to to celebrate my friend's 21st birthday...lost about $80, not that big of a deal, i only gambled what i could afford to lose (actually i was up, but dunno when to quit hah). my problem was when we decided to leave. to those of you not familiar to atlantic city, only a small percentage of the city is actually nice, and that's the casino part...everything else is a giant slum. anyway, we started walking down the street and i must've gotten stopped 4 times by bums asking for money. i'm a nice guy, i give spare change when i can, but by this time, i've given out enough and this reallllllllly aggressive guy comes up to my face and starts demanding a dollar from me. ok..a dollar, no big whoop, but the way he asked(actually demanded) and the fact i lost enough money, had to pay for tolls, etc...added to the equation and my final decision NOT to give him that precious dollar. to get him off my back i give him...yep...18 cents haha. just pulled out whatever change i had, gave it to him to shut the hell up....

once i give him whatever change i had...he gets closer to my face...mind you he has many missing teeth, smells and looks dangerous...and is like "what's a grown man gonna do with 18 cents?"

My question to all of you is...what's a grown man asking for 18cents (Actually a dollar) for anyway? from a 21 year old???

granted, i understand he was homeless..a dollar might've done some good, not much though. and plus, i can only give out so much before i get pissed off and just think that some like him are lazy, are not the product of anything except their own laziness and god damn my friend for wanting to walk down the street rather than the boardwalk....k i'm done.

Get outta here with your cap made out of an old fuckin number plate, your newspaper shirt and your jeans made out of green garbage bags... Vacuum under your bridge you homeless fuck, there's shit everywhere... Vacuum under your fuckin bridge, your kid's there with half a fuckin big mac and your wife with tampons made out of muffins... Get outta here... Walkin around in one thong... get another thong!!! Walkin around here in a thong made out of an old salmon tin... Get outta here you homeless fuck, I'll kick ya over a cliff!!!"

Scrat, i wouldn't worry too much about bums. My guess is if they're hanging around Atlantic City they might have lost everything gambling. If you give them money they might just go punt it.

I remember once when I was walking through Parramatta going for some medical testing for a job and this older man came up and asked if I had any spare small change, I knew I had a couple of 20c coins in my pocket so I gave it to him.

The next thing you know, I was bombarded & surrounded by 5 young homeless guys (17-19 or so) asking for money, when I said no I don't have any they started swearing at me and calling me a cheap cunt because I gave the other man money but not them, one even said you can even go in to the hungry jacks and buy my meal for me just to know that the money is going towards food.. the next thing you know they will want it served on a silver fucking platter!

Since then, each time I have been asked by a homeless person for money I simply say no - it was very intimating being charged at by 5 people getting right up close with their hands & grasping like zombies in search of human brains.. the scary thing about it is that you don't know what they could be holding on them, you wouldn't like to get in a fist fight with them either, it only takes a small cut to transmit god only knows what - no such thing as a clean fight these days..

This old very overweight lady sits on the corner of 2 main roads just down from me and asks everyone who walks past for money. This is all she ever seems to do. Ok if she wants to do that fine but does she ask for spare change? NO she asks for 2, 3 or 4 dollars and the stupid thing is ppl give it to her. I see it all the time, I'm assuming just because shes old and female. She must make a relitivly decent living out of it too.
