Call uk places to ship it for you, find out if its cheaper if it is then just get them to deliver it to the place that can ship it.

dumb question, you can't source this item closer to home? Beetles are common enough, or are you going for some special once of a kind beetle?

two places in australia i can get a brand new tank from.

one don't have any in stock for at least the next 3 months.

the other one is run by a guy who has no idea what the fuck he's talking about. i'd go with him if it werent for the fact that it would take him 4 weeks to get it to me and i'd be worried the whole time that he's sending me the wrong thing. i'd explain further but you'd have to know vws to know what i was talking about.

and i've had enough drama with second hand tanks that i don't wanna fuck around with any more.

i could get one for $200 all up shipped from the USA or from Germany, but being a rear engined car, and with the tank in the front, the shape of the tank is completely different between left and right hand drive cars. :(
