yeh, u like it?

I'm not sure if the original photo itself was inspiring, and Glowing Edges in photoshop all on it's lonesome is the predictable work of a Photochop novice, however...

It's like when you see a very ugly pair of people who end up having an extremely cute baby, and you wonder how the fuck the kid had the good fortune to look attractive and overcame their genetic handicap.

So yes, I like it.

Stewie,

When I was 16 I was guilty of terrible photoshop crimes (even the dreaded lens-flares) and I say the following in an encouraging way.

Seriously, DON'T USE FILTERS!
Learn to etch, use layer masks, colour corection layers and airbrushing/cloning first. In time you will learn there is a time and place for a few filters (e.g. noise and blurs) but in the mean time, stay the fuck away from them. Most of the filters menu is entirely useless. Photoshop is a great program, it takes a long time to learn all the ins and outs of it so keep at it.

Check out sies like eatpoo (http://www.eatpoo.com) for tips and inspiration.

Experimenting with filters on your photos won't magically make a cool image. PLAN your artworks and then figure out how to use the tools to get the result your after.

Keep at it man, if you ever have any technical questions, if you can't figure out how to get the result your after, post here. We have a few photoshop gurus on these forums.

Gruff Nutz.

cloning leads to lots of fun as well even for dodge photoshops.

lens flare and fade-clone layering is not good.

good site though :D better than any of the crap i could produce. my talents stop at photoshopping heads onto bodies and adding captions.
