I've decided that because I had a hard time moving, I hate everybody and you all can die. I know that sounds extreme, but it was hard to move this weekend.

So I borrowed a pickup truck (a nice Ford F250 with a V-10 engine that has more power and sucks more gas than any truck I've ever driven that wasn't a tractor-trailor). It had a trailor hitch and standard electrical hook-up on it. I had a trailor rental for Saturday. Friday, when I was hoping to do a lot of moving small stuff, it rained a LOT. SO I bought a tarp and moved stuff while getting soaked.

Saturday I go to pick up the trailor, and they don't have the right adaptor to fit on my truck. Mind you, I have a newer model Ford F250 with a standard electrical hookup. That is approximately 40% of the entire towing world right there. They dont have electrical adaptors for a FORD? So anyway I had to buy one ($10). So my day starts late. Then I RUN OVER MY CELL PHONE! (Ironically it used to be a flip phone, but now it is half a flip phone. It still works with hands-free connected LOL). So I can't call everyone to tell them where to meet me to do the move. So I only have me and my cousin to move everything.

Then Sunday I get everyone together to come help me move. As I'm driving down the highway, I go over a mild bump and the trailor is all of a sudden NO LONGER CONNECTED TO THE TRUCK! It is still chained to me so I cautiously pull over. It ends up the trailer ball has a sheer pin in it that mysteriously disappeared (probably wore out). So I ditch the trailor, go to an auto-parts store. Buy a new trailor ball. Install it, and go to the house late. Fortunately people are there to help me move, and we got all the big stuff moved by that night.

There's more horrible things going on here. But I will rant later in this thread. But I hate everybody at this point and you all can die.

Know the best way to save yourself the trouble of moving?

Insurance fruad, burn all your stuff, claim the insurance, buy new stuff and have it all directly delivered to your new house.

What's more, some nice fellas in blue uniforms will move you to your new residence.

I hate moving too.... i dont think anyone particularly enjoys it.
One thing's for sure, if I ever move into a block of units again, I either move somewhere that has a lift, or i pay people to do the moving for me!

After buying our first house in early December last year and about 4 days of lifting / driving / lifting / unpacking shit I have decided that it will be better to get all our stuff packed and moved by removalists next time...

Ditto, my place seriously needs a lift. Took ages to move everything up there and I ended up doing my back in.

I feel for ya directed, moving would have to be possibly one of the worst experiences. They reckon it's one of the most stressfull things we can do to ourselves!
