If you're like me and use a cellphone connected to your Mac then this site might be useful.
It contains modem scripts that can at times be better than the ones that come with MacOS X as well as those not supported directly.
I recently upgraded my phone to a Motorola V550 but I couldn't get it to work as a modem. This site had a set of Motorola modem scripts for connecting to GPRS and now my phone works brilliantly.
