George R R Martin has finally completed the next book in his Song of Ice and Fire series...which means "A Feast for Crows" will probably be out in the next 6 - 8 weeks.

The bad news (if you click on the little link at the bottom of the update page) is that it came in at such a hefty size that he has split it into two books. This was done with the last book, but this time it will be different. A Feast for Crows will focus on events in the southern and central areas of Westeros only. The other viewpoints - North / Across the ocean - will be covered in the next book, A Dance with Dragons. Hopefully the next book is only six months away, as he just has a few chapters to finish.
