I consider myself well read in sci-fi and fantasy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the D&D type but I get my read on in a major way.
I am up to book 7 in this series and for the life of my can't figure out why the hell I'm enduring this mess of shitty writing, massively convoluted, yet uninspiring plot and dull, lifeless characters.
I have had -many- people over the past five years or more encourage me to read them, I started about 4 months ago and have gotten this far. People tell me it "starts getting good" about book 8. WHY THE HELL DO YOU READ 8000 PAGES OF RUBBISH FOR THE GOOD BIT?!
If anyone is a fan, tell me in clear, uncertain terms why I shouldn't delete the fuck out of these books from my PDA. Cause god, the baby jeebus and Queen Elizabeth the Second are all telling me to just step away.
