Brleah! The image gallery is not letting me log in or something.. I don't understand why, it is just fucking up. So I don't seem to be able to upload my most recent addition. Will try again later, and then put it up. Look forward to the next installment, it will happen sooner or later... BTW, did try to go to bed, didn't work.. is why I hopped up and did another one.
Using Firefox I have had problems getting into the gallery at times. Have had to close all open and then kill the Firefox.exe proccess tree. Then I can get in no prob.

Which is why something like this thread gives me a great oportunity to give it a bit of a workout.. Is always easier to do something if you have something particular in mind.

yeah, my sister was the same... she enjoys drawing and i got her a tablet... then straight away i'm like "now draw me something!"

however, she didnt know what... she's drawn some cool things with it now though and hosted them on deviantart...
the best part about them is that they are extremely pressure sensitive :D

I can't even draw yet it's fun just to whip up sketches with 'em... always thought about getting one myself just for little comic sketches and shit, cause i dont mind drawing, I'm just not very good at it ;)

What is her user name on deviantart? And yeah, I love the pressure sensitivity of my wacom stylus... This is the one I have here (http://www.wacom.com/productinfo/9x12.cfm). It has 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity.. ohhhh, so gooood... I've found it really good to use so far, but I will be happy when photoshop is put onto the computer again so that I can give it a real workout. :)

By using JPG compression on your original hugeass black and white comic and saving it as a 500KB file, you don't really have the licence to talk...

And stop calling it compression. Even your beloved PNG uses compression, otherwise the filesize wouldn't be so small.

Let me let you know why I used jpg. It compressed (funnily enough) to a point where you can still see everything nice and clear, not a *huge* amount of quality is lost (I mean hell, these pics were made at 72dpi), and it is then quick loading for all the poor bastards out there with dial-up. I used to be one of those poor bastards, and I hate slow load times. All that, and it means that if someone wants to steal a good pic (such as the ali g one, which I rather like), and then edit it a small amount to make it their own, then they can only do it at a base quality anyway. Eh, tis all good. Its just a freakin' sketch.

Edit: just thought I'd better add: If I was going to do professional quality comics, like tophizzle suggested, I would not be doing as I am doing now. Just to re-iterate - they are just quick skethes, not fixed up, just rough, certainly not worth me keeping for any real purpose other than to laugh at.
