Please excuse me if this post is deemed better suited to another forum (and to the mod, feel free to move it if so), however I've been wanting to dabble in scriptwriting for some time now but am wondering if there is special software, or Word templates required in order to achieve the proper format without me having to spend a lot of time trying to set this up myself? Any advice would be appreciated.

Try this: http://www.finaldraft.com/

I have friends who write for TV that swear by it.

Cheers

Had to lurk for a bit - tons of frigging new responsibilities at my actual paying job - got promoted, and had to pay the price...

Been keeping tabs tho, things seem to be going tickety-boo.

IIRC, the trial version of Final Draft won't let you save, but you can copy and paste it into Notepad and save it there, then copy and paste it back and most, if not all your formatting will be intact.

I've been looking for a (cough) legitimate license for you to use. No luck yet.
