WARNING :::::::::::::::::::CONTAINS SPOILERS
i was expecting a lot more from this book. the charcters have all been well and truly developed over the previous 5 books, but in this one they just seemed lacking in depth. its almost seems like jk rowlings has started to run out of ideas.

snape becomes the new defence against the dark arts teacher
dumbledore dies
he is killed by Snape ( who is also the half blood prince )
harry and ginny weasly get together, then break up as harry doesnt want her to be used as bait when he goes in search of voldemort.

there is more to it than that, just cant be bothered atm!!!!
any1 want a cheap copy of the book????

harry potter doesnt interest me and i have just been watching the news about all these dickheads tht have waited in line for something like 18hours, there was grown men dancing and singing, like WTF.

Then they interviewed this girl who got the first one in the store and she went all hysterical, I hope it is a BIG let down.

They reckon that 2mil will be sold with in the UK alone with in the first 24hours, thats a shit load of cash for JK Rowling.

According to the news, she is already richer than the Queen.

That bitch, when she wrote the book she had no money and lived on the streets. Why doesn't anything I write turn into billions of dollars? Like, say, last weeks grocery list?

i thought the book was about upto standard with her previous attempts at writting a book, she lacks character development in all of them, but i actually thought that the best thing in this book was the question of wether snape was actually really trustworthy as dumbledore thought or wether he was actually really working for voldermort, best part of the book was dumbledore's death, quick, violent, and to the point, snape wastes no time... good to see....

Apparently JKR's worth over $1.3 billion dollars. That is a lot of HP.

This book was too full of 'teenage love angst' for me.

This book was too full of 'teenage love angst' for me.

I thought the book was quite good compared to the last one.

One thing I didn't understand was how easily Snape defeated Dumbledore and then Harry. Considering Harry has thwarted Voldemort on a number of occasions, he should have been able to whip Snape's ass....yet Snape beat him without raising a sweat. Makes Harry's decision to go Voldemort hunting next year - seeing as he just got his ass handed to him by Snape, it doesn't make much sense.

As for the teenage love angst, at least Harry wasn't as angry as he was in the last book...I think his balls dropped during the "Order of the Phoenix"

But how has he faced down Voldemort? Never been a straight shot wand to wand. He was saved in GoF by the Priori Incantatem and in OotP by Dumbledore and Voldie trying to possess him. I tend to think in a straight duel he'd lose.

I loved the ending, just finished it now
Didn't enjoy the book like the rest though, due to too much it going into 'teenage love angst' as said above
although its how it would happen in rl, it just seemed a bit 'omg get over it' sorta thing
I cant wait for the next one to see how that goes, personally the whole hogwarts thing was getting a little old and I thought it'd be nice to get out somewhere else, like watching episodes of saved by the bell waiting for them to get out of school lol
