My advice, treat job hunting like a full time job. Get up and start at 9. Have an hour break for lunch and work through til 5. That way you keep yourself in a normal working routine and get the jump on the lazy bastards who sleep in and miss the early job alerts.

Follow up all of your CV's with a phone call to a) confirm they got your cv and b) pimp yourself to them a bit
