Soooooo

I got Fired yesterday. booooo

After 5 years of hard work, dedication, and sticking through all the hard times..... the tosser of a boss decided to can me and a whole lot of others. Not a downsizing, the cunt just is "unhappy with our peformance" pfft... fuck that, he's a binge drinker that goes on psychotic rampages, thinking everyone is out to get him and the company. Oh well! sucks for my job status.

I went to the office, packed my things up, and left. I reeeeeeeeeally wanted to pee on the floor while I left, but I thought "Resume sources" so I just farted really bad in the chair..... squished it in the padding good!

I sent out a total of 3 resumes in under 20 min. I kinda planned for it, knew the bosses psychoness would either make me leave, or he'd kill the company. I had all the right places to go that were promising for job security. Hit them hard and fast!

Last place I went to... and last resume in hand, I just went in and said "Hi, I just got laid off today, would you like to hire me?"

And they did:) Under half an hour of unemployment. that's a record!

I now am an Operations Manager of a Wireless ISP.
next step: rule the world

Thanks all...... well it will be better pay in a sense.
last job was shit. no security, but ok pay.
this one...I'm negotiating the pay for the next bit. since they are new to the area, they have no real customer income. That's my big part there is to bring in the customers.

What make me mad happy is that I didn't have to "try" that hard in the search.
plus working for the new places is always more fun in my opinion. lot of ambition from all to make the company succeed

Thats really cool, what ISP is it?

It's a small, just started ISP in Washington state. hasn't even went public yet. they're putting me to work by going out to the locals and popping off our name, finding the demographics... all that jazz.

What's really cool, and why it think this is why the ISP will go somewhere, is they offer 10-20 Mb bi-directional connections. We're in a location that has saturated DSLAM's and cable internet is getting saturated too. I think there's a market, but need to show our market to the masses:)

Like the avatar Saipia. Blue Oyster Cult ROCKS! I got that full video hangin round.

Lately entire cities are going wireless (Philly), and more are to follow. Maybe you get get a sweet contract. Although you may have to do some politician cock sucking. . . . Anyway, there's money to be made in local govt. contracts, too.

Oh yes..... We're all on the getting contracts. Comming up next year, there's a $8mil grant we're trying for too.
I've also been in touch with the local school district that will pay an assload of $ to give a PPP link from it's Teir-door to another school. Friggin E-rates. At least that's a "set it, forget it" item.
