Somebody ought to do a survey and count how many of ZGeek's active forum threads these two have turned into homo heaven. :coolgleam

They ought to just get together for a weekend of hot monkey sex and get it out of their systems. Get in touch with their effeminate sides and all.

Edited to say: And each other's effeminate sides, too, of course.

I came directly from the shower to post this edit, am sitting here naked and wet, because that's just how much I care.

You can all go get the Clorox to scrub that image off of your brains now. hee.

On a side note, why do people really give a toss when it comes to Johny's and my stupid banter? the threads in question have/are detoriating to a point where no one cares any more anyway, Arcane1's corner is an open thread to talk/dick about as you wish isn't it?

I didn't know anyone cared? I certainly wasn't making a stink earlier (a couple pages up), as a matter of fact I was having fun with it.

Look at it this way: ZGeek is as big as the internet, give or take a few Gig of Hard Disk space on a server somewhere. If someone cares too much, screw them, they can go look elsewhere. The Bishis and the Hazzas and the other fucktard e-cliquers can go get skewered. As long as you aren't breaking the "rules", then you're cool.

And the bottom line is that if they really care, they can put you on "Ignore" and never see your posts anyway. Thus your behaviors, however offensive, won't intrude into their little realities.

OK, OK, I cede. From today on I will not ever think that banannas wanking off either to, with or at eachother is an "odd" thing and will consider it a healthy part of daily life. As long as no one gets hurt, and everyone keeps their peels on... I don't want to see any de-peeling though. That can only lead to darkening of inner material and eventual spoilage.

Now, as for the smiley trio, can someone at least confirm for me that the smiley in the middle is female? Otherwise I'll have to move that particular emoticon over to the :fag: side of the bunch.

I'm more interested in the age of your reasoning (your maturity level in other words).

This is not a dating service after all and we all know the pitfalls of just focusing on one thing, and losing sight of what is really important.

If you are 20, or 35, 45, or whatever, but can make sense, and interact with others in a meaningful manner, I am interested in what you have to say. And additional props to you if you are passionate about something and you are able to inspire some of us along the way.

I had a letter the other day telling me that the fuckwit that tried to put his car where mine with no warning, was still disputing the fact that he was not responsible for causing an accident. He was found guilty at magistrates, then also made to pay me back my costs in a private case between the insurance companies (or whatever, not sure how it all works).

My insurance company sent me a letter asking me to provide my MOT and Service history docs up till and including the date of the accident.

I can do that, because I can get my hands on it pretty quick, but I don't see why I should. I tried phoning my insurance idiots, but they kept me on hold on a national rate number, I'm not paying for that. I will wait till they phone me.

My question is do I really have to provide all this stuff?

I hit my peak last year. It lasted about 16 minutes. ::sigh::

I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that I'll be 37 in a few weeks - 37 seems such a non-age. I don't usually get hung up on ages - was far more bothered by turning 20 than by turning 30 (was no longer a teenager!) but something about 37 spooks me. At 36, I'm close enough to 35 and at 38, I'll be close enough to 40, but 37 feels like some kind of no man's land.

Heh heh. "No man's land." Not like that's a fucking PUN or anything... grrrrrrr... meh, I amuse me sometimes.

Aside to [I forgot her name] who said "Pfffft to younger man" - I always felt that way too... until recently. Suddenly I'm seeing the attraction... LOL

You have to prove the car was legal and roadworthy, not having a valid MOT invalidates your insurance. I haven't heard about the service history requirement before though. Note the leeching fucks don't give a shit about this when charging the premiums, only in the settlement.

You could previously just disclose your MOT and V5, but that may have changed, you get an update from CAB.

I thought you had to take your MOT and pair it with the TOD to get the V5 form, once you get the V5 form you then apply for the TK-24 release in order to attain the SP-32-1 owners rights to release form, then submit the LIY history sheet to get the I-2112-V documentation, once they are all submitted you get the TY-7 form that will give you the pass to get the 175-L waiver form, this must be processed in order to release the V5 from the SP-32-1 owners rights release form, if that form is not complete then you must return the 1-TR-5 release release form to release you from the waiver.

It's really not that hard you know...geeeeez.

Damn my coffee tastes funny. And... WTF... my ass is stuck to my chair? Great, I leave again and all Hell breaks loose.

And that doesn't count around here either.

So my pizza was good. Damn good. Of course my daughter smoked the shit out of the house with the garlic bread in the toaster over... but hey, who needs to see.

But now they all hate me again here.

They wanted to play Trivial Pursuit. OK, fine... there's only one problem with that though, and that is that unless I try, I end up beating them all. Well, my daughter and I do a good 1, 2, but the other 2 are just lost. So in all reality, we kicked their asses. Both games. Oops, we did it again. :p

Now I have to take them out for ice cream or something to placate them. Bah. Good thing I like chocolate.

And some cute little chickadee sent me this cute .gif, anyone want to tell me how to upload it to the smilie thingy please? Since it has some t & a in it, I'm sure that Johny will love it.

Man... do I feel like a putz. Happy Birthday Fender. I say your name on the list and didn't get back to saying anything to you. You may de-rep me at will for being a cad.

Good for you for getting a new license... I let mine expire for 7 years. It took me 5 days and a few hundred dollars to finally resolve the matter just last month. I was on the phone with my atty. about getting it resolved (hands free) when I got into the wreck in the Honda.

Why the fuck would I let my license expire? Well, it was my last little bit of "refusing to conform" and also it was from a feeling of disgust at giving the State of Illinois another freaking nickel. Issues like the Govenor using taxpayer money to remodel his home and go gambling, the Tollway Authority manager using the State helicopter to go on afternoon retreats with his girlfriend (his wife was real impressed) and the massive degree of corruption overall in this bankrupt state were my reasons. Part of the new Patriot Act provisions however mandate that a valid DL number be attached to every vehicle title and license plate. Since my plates were up this month I had no choice but give in.

Oh, well that and I couldn't let my 16 year old son get a valid license before I had one... that was just too much of an absurdity. Fortunately his grades sucked so bad last term that he couldn't get it anyway.

Cheers to you Fender! :drink:

Thanks, buddy. All I wanted for my birthday was a nice steak, a blowjob, and a chance to relax at home. Got 2 out of 3, so that's not too bad.
It was a mandatory license change, as there's a new design (ghey) with lots of unused space on it (more ghey) that should've been used for the signature line.
Paid $34.50 for an 8-year license (also new, but NOT ghey); works out to a little over $4/year. That's about the right amount I'm willing to give the state for the 'privilege' of 'being allowed' to drive.

Seeker, the best NFL stories always come out in the pre-season -- the wives of the players end up being seated at one end of the stadium, and at the opposite end, their mistresses -- and I mean several mistresses for the same player. Inevitably, one always finds out about one of the others being there, and fights sometimes break out in the stands.

Imagine the eye-candy of a cat fight between scantily-dressed women in stilts. Who cares about the drug users in uniform -- ain't where the action is.

The other post was meant to be a serious discussion of what might happen in the next 100 years if things go the way they are going. Maybe my debating skills suck. Ribblefizz made me look like an idiot the other day but I deserved that one.

If NASA needs condoms to keep the foam on the Extenal Fuel Tank form falling off they may be in luck. Since the birth of our sencond child my wife has had an IUD inserted and I now have a packet of condoms with about 10 left in it that NASA is welcome to acquire on reasonable terms. They are unlikely to be a perfect fit but if they tie the end off the rubber shouldn't slide off regardless of how loose it might be.

I have some incredible images of the tank and the boosters from STS-114. I need to get permission to post them but the files are 300mb+- so I have not found a place to post them anyway. They were taken with our groups cameras. They even have sound. We have been passing them around on flash.

Lots of little pieces can be seen coming off of the tanks. Most of it is really small. There was one piece that scared the shit out of everyone. That one piece is holding up everything. They know how to fix that one problem but they are concerned that it may screw up something else. One of the suggestions was to put a condom like piece over the foam. Something like panty hose material. But then you worry about screwing up the foam. That is why everyone want to drop the Shuttle system and move to the CLV.

As for Cray, well, you see, there is a very simple answer to your question about "what Cray's problem is".
Do this:
a) Hold out your Right hand, palm facing away from you
b) bring your thumb and forefinger together until they touch
c) separate the thumb and forefinger by about the thickness of a #2 pencil
d) it's about this big.

End of issue.

If I ever get up to Texas, I hear there is a real good cook-off trail -- what's it called "the BBQ trail", I believe -- their meats on the grill are to die for.

Nothin' tastes as good as a charbroiled steak and those Texans have the best recipes (not to mention the best steak sauces and meats).

I know someone who was living there for a while and told me about this one restaurant where you get a free meal if you manage to ingest this giant slab of meat -- they even have a list of people who have successfully done it, including grandmothers and even kids. Most people can't hack it.

More the merrier. We have a big house, a big pool and a small fishing lake out back. The pool is 76 degrees right now which for a Texan is a little cold.

Texans pride themselves on good beef and bbq. When I go to SE Asia, I find Aussie beef a little gamey. Beats eating tofu but just not the same as grain feed beef. There is a restaurant that has a steak so large that most people cant eat it. I dont remember the details but I will look it up. There is also a steakhouse that if you show up wearing a tie they will cut it off and hang it on the wall.

There is a restaurant out the back gate that serves buffalo burgers on a sweet sour dough bun. Low fat, great taste.

Heh. And from where I live, Lubbock looks like a refreshing oasis.

Tumbleweeds are indeed not soft and fluffy, but they are kinda cute when people grab a few of 'em, wedge them together by some means of which I am completely ignorant, and decorate them as snowmen. When there's a windstorm and they're piled up higher than the roof of your house blocking the front door, not so cute. (I'll have to see if I can find the pics of that. We had to go out the back door, come around front, and pull them away to be able to open the door. Took my dad's pickup eleven trips to the dump, loaded full each time but the last time, to get rid of them all. I was scratched and full of bramble-things for more than a month.)

I need to get the hell out of here, but can't manage it yet... one day. And I will definitely keep your offer in mind if we get out Houston way - got room on that tour for a preteen boy? I have a few other east Texas friends I keep meaning to visit, so maybe I'll do a Grand Tour one of these days.

Like I said earlier, I am trying to get the hires videos from STS-114 released.

It gets pretty boring up there. They sometimes call people on the ground just to talk. Leroy called one of my coworkers a couple of months ago just to see what was going on. My friend forgot Leroy was on station and did not remember until after the call. I have met most of the astronauts and I know about 10 pretty well. They are all really nice people. The family is part of the reason I keep trying to get out, actually.

The excuse I'm using for staying right now is that I have an awesome job, which I'd be hard pressed to duplicate elsewhere for various reasons (not worth going into detail but all very valid), and because the expenses involved in moving a household across country are more than I can handle at the moment. Hell, moving two blocks up and across the street nearly killed me - I'm still recovering from that, physically and financially, and that was a year and a half ago.

There's some upheaval wrt my job at the moment, and its awesomeness might not last out the week, so who knows what'll come next.

Stop the presses--F.D.A. declares condoms prevent pregnancy

The Food and Drug Administration has released a 63-page report that declares, among other things, that latex condoms are effective in preventing pregnancy and in reducing the risk of infection from sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS.
The report will form the basis on new condom packaging in the United States.

The F.D.A.'s report also concludes that latex condoms are less effective against genital herpes, syphillis, and the human papillomavirus than they are against potential pregnancy and other STD's. The human papillomavirus--the leading cause of cervical cancer--has become the subject of a new right-wing campaign to "protect" girls from being sexually active.

Fiscal Quagmire

Commentary: Say this for the Bush administration: it will stick with a failed policy, come what may.

By Bernard Wasow
November 11, 2005
Article created by The Century Foundation.

The Bush administration has been better at starting policy initiatives and sticking to them than at finishing the job successfully. The war in Iraq is only the most salient of the failed policies that the administration is steadfastly pursuing.

On the economic front, the administration has launched one tax bill after another, all aimed at reducing taxes, especially on income from capital.

Unlike the war in Iraq, where every day brings news to families of the devastating human cost, the war on taxes is only preparing the ground for a harvest of economic problems. It may be years before the chronic build-up of national debt leads to flight from the dollar, high interest rates, and accelerating inflation, but that is where our fiscal policy is taking us.

Congress is now negotiating to approve tax cuts that will cost about $70 billion between 2006 and 2010. Some of these cuts, notably reform of the out-of-control Alternative Minimum Tax, are necessary. But other tax cuts that are likely to come out of the reconciliation process now underway in Congress are disastrously misguided. In particular, the plan to extend the huge tax breaks on income from dividends and capital gains only makes sense if the goal is for the federal government to borrow money in order to reward the very rich.

McZ -- some earth shots would be nice. And pics of space taken from the station lab as well.

Are we talking material that has never been published before?

Also, what is the current status of the following -- any new images that can be shared?

If no unforeseen failures occur, we will be able to maintain communications with both spacecraft until at least the year 2030. Both Voyagers have plenty of hydrazine fuel -- Voyager 1 is expected to have enough propellant until 2040 and Voyager 2 until 2034. The limiting factor is the RTGs (radio-isotope thermal generators). The power output from the RTGs is slowly dropping each year. By 2000, there won't be enough power for the UVS (ultraviolet spectrometer) instrument. By 2010, the power will have dropped low enough such that not all of the fields and particles instruments can be powered on at the same time. A power sharing plan will go into effect then, where some of the F & P instruments are powered on, and others off. The spacecraft can last in this mode for about another 10 years, and after that the power will probably be too low to maintain the spacecraft.

McZ -- some earth shots would be nice. And pics of space taken from the station lab as well.

Are we talking material that has never been published before?

Probably not seen by too many people. NASA has so much earth video they dont know what to do with it. Most of the time they just leave the cameras on and record it endlessly.

I requested some DVD's of earth videos and they gave me so much I have not seen is all.

Leroy sent us a really cool picture of a Caribbean blue hole. I think I have it at the house if not I have it a work.

What I need is a server that I can upload about 1gb of data for the first group.

Also, what is the current status of the following -- any new images that can be shared?

The Voyagers are managed out of JPL. I have not been keeping up with them. See this link and the JPL site.

http://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/index.html

They also manage the Mars Rovers.

BTW this is why NASA needs more Plutonium. There are three sources of Plutonium, Russia, Japan or restart the USA production. Russia is the prefered source but Japan was also under consideration until the law was changed last week. A restart of the USA production would make a lot of people nervous. Japan has the largest stockpile of Plutonium. I heard somewhere that they have more than all other countries combined.

For pics, you can always upload here.

As far as vids go, I have seen hosting sites that allow in the neighborhood of 250 MBs. Maybe someone can help us out.

Can you chop them up into shorter segments, so that it will be a lot easier on us to download?

Well, the crotch area in your picture, lies in the shadows and remains unexplored.

The cleavage tunnel is heavily emphasized but it is still considered a repository of many secrets, so it is a challenging pursuit in its own right -- hence, primed for repeated examinations.

I see that they saved on the paint -- I imagine these rust buckets simply disintegrate into the atmosphere or do they split up in several tiny particles, showering someone's tomato garden with unexpected minerals?

I'm sure McZ knows that exact weight, but the total weight of the paint to cover that tank is substantial enough to be missed. I remember the first time I read that and then thought about how much a gallon of paint weighs (about 11 pounds) and primer X a very tall tank.

Most of the External Tank is made up of composites and aluminum. No heavy metals. The tanks vaporize completely. The SRB's are another story. The orange color is the foam. Where you see white is where the foam came off. The third picture show the missing foam that came off. They was a pretty big piece and people at NASA shit all over themselves when they say it come off. In the videos you can see that piece come off and exit between the tank and the orbiter wing. They dont paint them anymore to save weight. The orange helps see foam better.

In the second picture you see some plumbing. This is the hydrogen line going from the tank to the main engines. The picture is just after the tank separates. The open end of the pipe just came out of the embilical well which is where the camera is located. There are two door, one on each side of the well wells. The other embilical well has a high speed 16mm film camera. They have to develop the film after it comes back. I am working on a new camera to replace the film camera.

These pictures are from a new manuever that the orbiter does as it approaches the station. The idea is to present the top and bottom of the orbiter so that the astronauts can take pictures and inspect for damage.
Eileen Collins flew this by hand without the computer. The flight data recorders showed that she did it better than the computer could do it. I think the distance is actually about 500ft. The manuever takes about 2 minutes if remember. So beautiful.

Another comment about the first picture. You can see the Ku band antenna on the left side of the cargo bay. The doors are open. On the right side you can see the robot arm. In the second picture you can see the arm and the OBSS on the opposite side. OBSS is Orbiter Boom Sensor System. It looks like a long pipe. The robot arm is 50 ft long and the OBSS is a 50ft extention that they hook on. At the end of the OBSS you can see the sensors. There are several cameras and laser imaging systems to measure the contour of the wings to see if there is any damage. Again you can see Ku band antenna just above the OBSS on the Starboard side.
