Too bad you are so certain that the poll is bullshit. It actually shows that a nearly equal amount of people are in the "blow it up" category and the "would like to have been at the event" category. Thus, while your statement that EVERYONE likes to blow shit up and EVERYONE would have wanted to be at the event isn't close to correct, it is far closer than I'd have thought.

I think that if you look through my posts, I am yet to "pick" on anyone. when i was about 11, i got some fire crackers, blew them up in my backyard, really wasnt that exciting, got over it. When i was 12 went to indoor shooting range, yeah fired a couple guns, seemed kind of pointless. Then yeah i was over that, grew out of that immature phase. Really wouldnt interest me to fire a gun again, blowing shit up, who gives a shit. I'd rather do something constructive. If im stressed, need to relax, i dont take frustration out in an act of violence, even if at a paper target or blow up something. People that are afraid of guns, or anything for that matter, and continue to be afraid due to ignorance are tools. Same thing for people that can't or don't have rational arguments and just start yelling instead of trying to see the other side.

I'm not against or afraid of guns in the least. I am against comments like "Everyone would feel better after popping off a few rounds" That isn't a position or an intelligent statement, that is just verbal diaherea.

I have a lot of experience with guns. From handguns, automatics and antique muzzle loaders. Some of it legally, and some of it very much not so. Some of intelligently and safely, some of it stupidly.

I spent more than a year liveing off a motorcycle travelling the country. Shortly after I bought the bike I had a couple hicks in a pickup run me off the road in Southern Illinois (they "easyridered me"), because of that I carried a .357 Ruger (Safety Six) for the majority of the trip. That isn't so much a handgun as a hand cannon. Had a girlfriend's Father teach me how to handle it properly and did all the "right" things to learn the safety issue.

The reason that I got rid of it was that should the situation arise that I would "need" it, I couldn't imagine using it on another human being. I have never had to physically hit another person, and I certainly couldn't see what would be worth blowing a large probably fatal hole in one for. One of the first lessons I was taught was "If you pull it, you better be prepared to use it". I got rid of it because I cannot imagine following through with killing someone. The worst that was ever going to happen was the bike and my stuff got stolen and I got beat up. Not a good justification to me for killing someone, even if they "deserve" it.
