ZMeet :: Sunday Lawn Bowls

Ok so this is a thread for people to declare they want to attend this exact event. We don't need to know if you can't make it, even though you may be sorely missed, this ain't the thread for that.
The venue has been booked, we just have to give them numbers, so post away! :p

"DIGGERS ON THE PARK, The Home of Manly Bowling Club, directly behind Manly football oval, in the middle of the leafy Ivanhoe Park..." straight from the website, sound blissful doesn't it?

Time :: From 1pm until 4pm Sunday 11th September - continued drinking afterwards of course ;)

Cost :: $20 each, payable on the day unless there's more than 20 people - then we'll have to get serious and use credit cards :aah:

Includes :: someone to tell us wtf to do, music, access to full bar facilities including food stuff so bring extra $$.

ZGeek has been lawn bowling before and it was tops fun; cheap beer, hopefully great weather and always a good perve! So make sure you don't miss out :D

It should take you to the calendar entry for this event and if you see your name on the list and it shouldn't be there, click on the link at the bottom saying 'i will no longer be attending this event, and you're outta there. i can catch a bus (route 136 from chatswood) that will get me to manly wharf (stand A) at 12:30 or at 1pm... if someone could find me there and show me where this place is, it'd be ace.

Folks - make sure you check out the RTA website to see if you're going to be affected by today's marathon. There are a lot of road closures, though most of them are before or just up until 13:00. Here's the direct link to the info:

I may be a little late (we have a brunch to attend shortly), but I should be rolling along around 13:30 - 14:00ish. And it looks like the ferry terminal is only a short walk from this place (short for me is anything which takes less than 45 min), so I probably won't be driving.

At least we won something!! The trophy was cool. I think it was the sunscreen that made you get burnt. I generally burn first, and didn't get burnt at all, and I didn't wear sunscreen!! I win!!
