View Full Version : Weather modification
Weather Modification Research and Technology Transfer Authorization Act of 2005
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:S.517:
Who the fuck wants the government to control their weather? It's insane for many reasons. I for one want them to stop fucking with nature and just let things be. Must everything be manipulated to suit human desires and to make their lives easier?

A Research Paper Presented To Air Force 2025

Below are highlights contained within the actual report. Please remember that this research report was issued in 1996 - 8 years ago - and that much of what was discussed as being in preliminary stages back then is now a reality.

Humans have been altering their environment with tools since day 1. If you don't like it then stop
a) wearing any clothes
b) using footpaths or streets
c) living in a house
d) using lights
e) using fire
It's pointless to complain about it cause it's going to happen regardless of what you like.

id like it to be fine with no rain over london from this thursday to monday.
plskthxbye
No shit humans manipulate their environment with everything they do. But modifying the weather, especially on a large scale, is a bit too much for me.
Fuck, who would want the US government controlling their weather?

Not me, but it's pointless complaining about it because if they want to do it they will.
Hence why I don't see the point in jumping up and down and bitching about stem cell research and genetic engineering, some country or some rogue scientist is going to do the work anyway, its better off if it's researched in an ethical and controlled way rather than driving it under ground

wouldnt there be a big problem as the weather is global and so modifying it over one country affects it over all others? No country has that right.
Exactly. And not only that but how hard would it be for normal countries to detect weather modification? Give bush a weather modification machine and see what happens...

There's nothing new about weather modification, the Russians have been doing it for many years. Why do you think the sun always shines whenever there's a military parade in Red Square? They fly above the clouds a few miles outside Moscow and spray them with some chemical compound.

Cloud seeding is a common practice. Its been done for decades.
I know its done in Tassie at the moment to force rain into catchment areas.

RE: Cloud seeding.
Yeah it's nothing new but that's a very limited method of weather modification. With the methods in the patent, you could modify weather on a large scale from a distance.
