This isn't announcing an event, so much as it is a little story about 2 geeks that got bored and a bit lost.

We started off at the excursion of Krispy kremes, and Movius had to get on a train back to catch the metal bird, so we went with him to town hall where there was also decent food. After food, and Movius getting on his train, Blueboy and I decide to keep walking down George street. We end up at central, and take the right fork of the raod. I think it was because then we wouldn't have to contend with the shitload of traffic. After a little bit, I work out that this is Broadway. I was a little dissapointed, I kept hearing it was this awesome place of doom. They where the yuppy wanker types that I heard this from though.

We end up turning right at the big shopping centre, in search of a direct route to darling harbour that BlueBoy had mentioned, that he heard about in a previous trip to Sydney, where, on a pub crawl, they had gone from darling harbour, to a pub near the broadway shopping centre the way we had just come. We then find ourselves at the fishmarkets. We are unsure of where to go after trying to go through the fishmarkets carpark, and ending up underneath a bridge. After dodging traffic crossing the road, we see a sign pointing to darling harbour, so decide to follow it.

Eventually we get to darling harbour and wander around. We discover that it is $27 to get into the aquarium, so decide to abort that idea. After ending up back at George street, head up towards Wynyard. We get to Wynyard and BlueBoy isn't sure if he can get a train to Pirate's house from Wynyard. Back to Town Hall we go. We finally get on respective trains, and thus ended the excursion of Excalibur and Blueboy, after 2 hours of solid walking and fucked if I know how many klilometers.

Hehe, I used to live at Broadway and did a similar walk many times.. it's fine if you've got comfy shoes and it's not too hot. My personal favourite walk was the Opera House to the Broadway shopping centre though, late at night, while wearing my highest stilettos. I never tried it again after that - it took a week for my blisters to go down :)

This wasn't my biggest walk, was close, but my 2 biggest where Chatswood to Dee Why. That was because I missed the last bus back to Dee Why. 13 km and all fucking uphill. The other one was from Newcastle railway station to Charlestown. That's about 12 km and all uphill as well. At least the last one was flat.

We actually had a "longest walk" conversation halfway through the trek. ;)

Not to mention one about dream computers, how people got their handles, and the whole origin of :greenman: and a whole bunch of other random stuff. Like how there is nothnig in the water in melbourne, whereas in Sydney, they will stick a big fuck off flagpole in the middle of cockle bay.

My longest walk ever was West Ryde to Chatswood via Hunter's Hill and North Ryde (because I got lost in Lane Cove National Park). 25 fucking kilometres, because I was too cheap to buy a return ticket.
