Armed with naught but a high school certificate and a penchant for pencils I entered the workplace, but alas it seems the workplace isn't friendly to lanky types such as myself. Either that or not doing a single thing for the whole fucking year seems lazy.

if you live close to town and know how to use msoffice apps and type (and don't mind being given multiple boring but easy tasks to do) you could try office temping.. it's better than telemarketing but doesn't have the perks of a 'real job' like sick pay. still, it's a start and can lead to something full time with one of the companies you temp for. if you hassle a few of the agencies in town to let you do their work tests they'll start you on one-day fill-in jobs to make sure you'll turn up, then give you jobs that can last weeks or months at a time.

or if offices shit you to tears u could do a bar service course and go on a pub crawl through town asking if they need a glassie. if you're lucky you'll find one that serves real spirits instead of homebrew spirits in real bottles, and pays you in cash instead of druuuugs :)
