Love 'em.
They are up there with anchovies and sun dried tomatoes.
Especially on a pizza.
Don't like the black ones but greens are great! Especially the stuffed ones plus they can be made into some kick ass oil. :D

Don't like the black ones but greens are great! But are you talking big fat tasty greek kalamata black olives or those dodgy pre-sliced aluminium-tasting cheap spanish black olive slices that Subway and most of the pizza chains use? Once you've had a big fat tasty greek one you'll never go back.

Both. :) I've tried the greek "OMG that's one big olive!" black olives but I don't like them either. Bummer too b/c I feel like I'm missing out on something.
The deli near my place sells green olives stuffed with cheese, almonds, chillis e.t.c. *drools* So good with wine. :)

Kalamata olives are ambrosia. Spanish olives are slightly slimy cardboard.

Green/black olives look exactly like Yoda/golliwog testicles respectively. In both cases, I would rather eat the latter than the former.

I have some green olives in the pockets of my jeans as we speak. But only green - no blacks. http://www.bannedwagon.net/forums/html/emoticons/nono.gif
I also use extra virgin oil in most of my cooking. But only extra virgin - no sloppy seconds. Even the late Alfred says no to that.

I found mussels a bit meh but they're definitely the thing to have in Brussels. If only for the "mussels in Brussels" part. I recommend Chez Léon (http://www.chezleon.be/) for all your mussel needs.
Love olives, they rock. Local pizza place actually uses whole black olives. That's the stuff.
Also, stuffed/spiced/marinated olives ROCK.

Olives rock (possibly even the Casbah). Tapenade rocks even harder.
Mmm. Now I'm hungry.

Kalamata olives are the best for eating
green olives are the best for making olive oil
I've loved olives since I can remember. There’s nothing better than hunting around the fridge and finding a whole container full of big fresh olives. I'm not fussy about the type, an olive is an olive to me. Now egg and oysters on the other hand.... Jesus, those things taste like shit, the people who enjoy them obviously have serious taste bud deficiencies. :fu:

Of all the 'ancient' things to see in the Mid-East, the most incredible are the Olive Groves, where there are trees that have stood for thousands of years.
And then along comes some stupid fuck with a bulldozer and destroys what has stood for longer than he can ever imagine existing for. It's ok to killl people, if that's the way you want to be. But please, leave the trees alone.
