1966!
Anything that can look JUST as cool in fast forward MUST be a cool car ...
I found the third one was a little too "HOLY SHIT BATMAN!" ... and the 2nd worked well with tim burtons Gotham City [ not the weird LOOK! A GIANT STATUE version that came in with the later batmans ] ... The first one had a sense of class though ...
hm - either the 1st or the 2nd Id' say.

1989 version for sure. Looks awesome.
The 3rd version looks absolutely crap (especially the dodgy bat hubcaps)

They're called Batcaps ...
[ I was tempted to call them butcaps ... but I thought otherwise ]

The 1989 one for sure, sleak and nice curves without going too overboard like the other 2.

& built in Australia(I'm not sure if any of the Batman films were filmed in Aus but apparently the 89 Batmobile was built in Aus).
If you think the 66 one is overboard imagine what it'd be like if The Futura it's a replica of had been put in production in late 1955 like was intended.

The second one, because I remember having two toy cars for it, that I loved, and maybe I still have them around, somewhere. One was cheap plastic, and the other was small, yet high-quality.

Aparently somebody (buggered if I know why) tested a quater scale model of it in a wind tunnel & discovered that it would be more aerodynamically efficient travelling in reverse than it would be going foward.

The same is true of the Austin Allegro.

Cool, this post still exists, I still think the 66 Batmobile is the coolest ever.

Did you cross post this on another forum some time ago? It kinda seems like you did. Also: this is an old thread that you bumped isn't it?
The second one's image is broken. I kinda remember what it looks like and I sorta like that.
The first one is awesome. The second one, if I remember correctly is almost awesome, and unlike everyone else... I sort of like the third one. I like how it looks organic kind of. Know what I mean? The "exoskeleton" look on the side is just wicked. I could do without the cheesy wheels though.

Bah! The BatMobile in the animated series was way cooler than all of them... but then again, I always did like 40's style cars.
IMO, Batman: Animated was better than any live action Batman (movie or TV show) ever could've been. Haven't seen the new futuristic cartoon, but it looks weak compared to the original, anyway.

2nd one for sure.
Although I did kinda like the Animated Series one. (but it's not on the list :) )

Yep, this was at NG too at some stage & it is a year old, that's why I was surprised that it still existed, Normally here anything that hasn't been posted in for 3 months gets deleted.

I'll have to find another one.

out of those three I'd have to pick the first; rocket fins over shark fins any day. If the original had been mass produced it'd be first on my list (after Chev Bel Air and Cadillac El Dorado(?)). The third one's just an unoriginal cheese-up of Burton's.
That said, this poll needs more choices, like oracle's Animated Batman/Adventures with the art deco/bauhaus look, the one from Beyond (haven't watched many of these, the Justice League one with Supes in his black Reign suit was pretty cool tho), and the chunky industrial one from the new upcoming movie (Batman Begins?). Even so, I'd still pick the one from '66.

Somehow I just don't see the '66 model striking fear into the hearts of criminals. :D
86 the '66 and gimme the '89, baby.

Batman isn't supposed to strike fear, he's supposed to dazzle you into submission with his supreme campness.
