Hurricane Wilma [Archive]

This is a betting that even though we've got a good week advance notice for Hurricane Wilma (classified as the strongest hurricane ever recorded), FEMA and the US gov. will still take longer than private organizations such as RedCross to make it to the affected areas for deployment of aid.

If anyone could post links to articles to back your votes please do :)

Actually, I think the people stopping bush from being a total moron realized that if he pulls another new orleans with wilma, they're going to lose their cushy jobs. I'm betting thing will work out pretty decently this time.

who cares who does what, i want to know how it will be judged???
you cant just say, "well they didnt fuck up yet, so we pay out"....its the US gov, they ALWAYS fuck up once you've bet your money they wont...

First bet thing i've made lol. I had to pull something entirely out of my ass. Realized that after it was to late.

Besides. Why reward for something that follows a common pattern of fuckups? (aka highly likely).

But then again. Brown and Bush arent really running that side of the show now. So it may just work out cake. *Shrugs* Next time ill think of a better bet!

Ok two woozies in one. I originally set the bet to end on Tuesday (or so I thought I did). Since the hurricane really isnt supposed to hit til sunday. So I went ahead and gave the 10:1 the winnings. Ive learned something about the vBookie system today...

Someone shoudl re-make this bet with a few more optional outcomes. Its still a good topic for betting.
