Hey mods, can we get an actual forum section dedicated to culinary stuff? I know that there are a few zgeekers out there fairly into cooking (like myself), and all that exists really is the Zgeek Cooking Show thread, which can be a pain in the ass sifting through. What I propose is making the Cooking Show an actual forum in which there can be sub sections for pasta/asian/dessert/whatever and people can post individual recipes in them in their own dedicated threads in which people can give feedback etc. Would also be a good place to discuss general and specific techniques, like properly seasoning and maintaining cast iron or carbon steel cookware (if that ain't geeky, i don't know what is).
Anyone else interested in this?

Signed.
i reckon it's a good idea, however 'subsections' is not. that's what threads are for. if you divide it up too much you end up with one or two parts getting all the attention.
also it could be food/drink in general i suppose, at least that way it might actually get a decent amount of traffic from people that don't currently post in the 'cooking show' thread.

I think the idea of a semi-regular cooking challenge would be fun too. A couple of ingredients get named and you have to devise a meal around them. Post recipies and pics and everyone vote and/or try the recipes at home.

I'll endorse that idea.

I am down for that, the cooking show thread is too large and not easily accessible.

Has my endorsement.
Ideal subsections might break down into general Cooking, Drinks, Food Health?, Diets?
